3. MUNNAR
Munnar is a town in the Western Ghats mountains in
India’s Kerala state. Munnar, a hill station and former
resort for the British Raj elite, is set within rolling hills
dotted with tea plantations established in the 19th
century. Eravikulam National Park, home to the
endangered mountain goat Nilgiri tahr, is a seasonal
trekking destination encompassing the Lakkam
Waterfalls and 2,695m-tall Anamudi Peak.

4. THEKKADY
The very sound of the word Thekkady conjures up
images of elephants, unending chains of hills and
spice-scented plantations. In the Periyar forest of
Thekkady is one of the finest wildlife reserves in
India and spread across the entire district are
picturesque plantations and hill towns that hold
great apportunities for treks and mountain walks

5. DEVIKULAM
This idyllic hill station, situated about 8 km from
Munnar, with its velvet lawns, exotic flora and
fauna and the cool mountain air is a rare
experience. The Sita Devi Lake, here, with its
mineral waters and picturesque surroundings is a
good picnic spot. The lake is also ideal for trout
fishing.

6. EDAKkAL CAVES
Edakkal
Caves (11°37′28.81″N 76°14′8.88″ECoordinates: 11°37′28.81″N
76°14′8.88″E) are two natural caves at a remote location
at Edakkal, 25 km from Kalpetta in theWayanad
district of Kerala in India's Western Ghats. They lie 1,200 metres
above sea level on Ambukutty Mala, beside an ancient trade
route connecting the high mountains of Mysore to the ports of
the Malabar coast. Inside the caves are pictorial writings
believed to date to at least 6,000 BC,[1][2] from
the Neolithic man, indicating the presence of a prehistoric
civilization or settlement in this region.[3] The Stone
Age carvings of Edakkal are rare and are the only known
examples from south India

7. CHEMBRA PEAK
Wayanad is a hilly district that is quite different from the regular
Hill Stations. In Wayanad trekking, there is no long linear route
present. Wayanad trekking offers small trails that can be
finished in just one day, some lasting only a few hours.
Although this may not seem exciting enough, you will be
surprised at the challenges you come across while trekking in
Wayanad.
While some areas have gentler slopes allowing even amateurs
to the peak, certain others require experience and a better
