What is content management? Content management refers to the system and processes whereby information is created, managed, published, and archived. Information typically passes through this lifecycle for a finite period of time. A content management system (CMS) provides the necessary infrastructure for multiple persons to effectively contribute content and collaborate throughout these lifecycles. Online Information Management With the explosive growth of the Internet, fundamental content management needs have also grown. No longer can information be published online in a manual process and be left unattended. Online information must be continually reviewed and updated by content editors so that other content consumers, including customers and search engines, have access to the most up-to-date version. The Internet forced subject matter experts to more rapidly maintain and update information for their constituents. Prior to online communication, information was typically transferred via physical mail and faxes. With these forms of communication, lag times were often significant and distribution costs high. The Internet lowered communication costs tremendously, while providing instant access to a larger audience. Prior to the Internet, it was acceptable to publish new information on a quarterly basis, whereas now important information is expected to be immediately available online. Web content management systems were developed to meet the needs of organizations with a growing online presence. A CMS typically offers: • Easy content creation and editing for non-technical content contributors • Access rights for security • Structured workflow processes for content approvals • Archival and versioning of content • Templates for consistent output • Content check-in/check-out services for distributed users

Once you log in, the Kentico administration interface opens. The interface is separated into applications. Each application represents a group of related functionality. Applications allow you to perform various types of tasks, configure the system, and view information. The first page that you see after logging in is the application dashboard. The dashboard provides quick access to your most frequently used applications.
Application list : Opens a list of all applications that you are allowed to access, separated into categories. Use the search bar to quickly find the application you need, or browse the categories. You can move between applications by pressing the up and down arrows on your keyboard. Press Enter to open the selected application. Click Live site at the bottom of the list to open a new browser tab with the live version of the current website. Keyboard shortcut: F2
Dashboard : Returns you to the application dashboard. Keyboard shortcut: F4
Site selector : Allows you to switch between different sites if your Kentico installations contains multiple sites.
Breadcrumbs : Displays the current application, and your location within the application's interface. You can click on items in the breadcrumbs to navigate back within the interface structure.
Help toolbar : Provides links to relevant pages in the main Kentico documentation (based on the current application). Keyboard shortcut: F1
User menu : Expands a menu where you can adjust the settings and preferences of your user account. Also allows you to Sign Out of the administration interface, which returns you to the live website as an anonymous visitor.
The CRM connect enables a seamless integration of your digital marketing and your sales efforts. We are no longer talking about collecting leads, we are seeking to enrich our leads with data and creating a 360° view of our customers. By connecting Kentico to your CRM you can easily transform your digital leads into loyal customers.
Our digital maturity has reached a level where we have crossed the line towards a 360° view of our customers, and websites are more than a company presentation or an engagement platform. The entire system landscape of a company is digital. We’re truly fully digital! A website should not exist as a separate entity. It needs to be integrated into the business to provide customers with more targeted, personalized experiences.
With CRM Connect for Kentico you can subscribe for events that occur in Kentico - whether it is a new contact, a form submission, or a new newsletter subscriber! The data of Kentico's event objects are serialized to JSON and put into a named queue, where it gets mapped and transformed to Microsoft Dynamics 365. Every step of the workflow can be manually configured.
Currently the connector supports the following scenarios:
Synchronizing form submissions: Specific on-line form submissions can be transferred automatically to Microsoft Dynamics 365. For example, every entry of a user registration form can be transformed into your preferred entity in Microsoft Dynamics 365.
Synchronizing contacts: Contacts from a website can be transferred automatically to Microsoft Dynamics 365. For example, every non-anonymous visitor of your website can be transformed into your preferred entity in Microsoft Dynamics 365.
Synchronizing contacts bidirectionally: Contacts from a website can be transferred automatically to Microsoft Dynamics CRM and back to your website. For example, every change within your CRM's contacts can be synchronized with the corresponding contact in Kentico.
