Kenneth H. Cooper is known as the "Father of Aerobics". After feeling like he was having a heart attack while water skiing at age 29, he realized he was out of shape. This inspired him to take his health into his own hands and influence others through exercise. He authored the bestselling book Aerobics in 1968 and founded the Cooper Aerobics Center in 1970 to research exercise as a way to prevent health issues like high blood pressure and cholesterol through aerobic exercise and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
