INTRODUCTION
For 18 years, I have functioned as an interdisciplinary scientist such as an Oceanographer, Mathematician, Physical Scientist,
Geographical Information Systems(GIS) and Database Specialist, Project Coordinator, and Senior Quality Control and Assurance
Analyst.
WORK EXPERIENCE
June 1998 – January 2015: Naval Oceanographic Office, Stennis Space Center

• As Project Coordinator, Senior Quality Analyst and Oceanographer, I provided guidance to a multiple and
complex team of scientists.
I served as project coordinator, senior technical lead and acting supervisor for over ten years in the absence of
supervisor.
Performed effective demonstrations of our knowledge and abilities in the presence of Admirals and congressional
staffers.
I attended daily briefs along with upper management, Global and Regional Analysts, Naval Fleet Representatives,
and Intelligence Experts examining maritime, littoral, riverine, hydrographic and oceanographic data along with
real-time aerial presentations.
Played a vital part in developing focal points for relevant analysis and systematic investigations in regards to
targeting and supporting Global War on Terrorism.
I was responsible for scientific, technical evaluation, fusion, and presentation of scientific data.
Examined data quality to design new analysis standards and quality control techniques of pertinent information.
• As Geographical Information Systems(GIS) and Database Specialist, I trained new personnel on proper
techniques, data fusion, and GIS product generation maneuvers with multiple data types.
Managed and maintained various types of computer databases such as geodatabases.
Edited, modified, and updated data types before loading into various geodatabases databases in efforts to perform
quality control and assurance.
Extracted database information and developed useable products and services in support of multiple exercises
involving the Navy, Coast Guard, foreign gov’t agencies, meteorologist, and professional fisherman in determining
target areas.
My branch provided 24/7 customer support. Answered phone calls and engaged in answering questions about all
products and services available. Satisfied requests for services and products in a timely manner.
• As Physical Scientist and Mathematician, I modified oceanographic modeling algorithms, in efforts to alleviate
piracy
attacks off the coast of Eastern Africa. The models consisted of significant wave height and direction as well as the
sea
current speed and direction with historical climatology added.
I ensured that all necessary system hardware and software changes were made, properly functioning, and performed
test runs after installation to all relevant computer systems.
I initialized all workstations to ensure proper virus checks were running, and that network communications were
established in accordance with security guidance.
Performed troubleshooting techniques on a variety of operating systems and platforms.
Established passwords and granted access to databases and the required access to networks.
Coordinated with senior representatives to formulate understanding of the project scope and hardware and software
requirements.
Adhered to security rules, regulations, and procedures in the handling of information and equipment.
