Editor's Notes

  • #6 Kelly’s human resource expertise and quality awareness govern every step of the hiring process. We evaluate a candidate’s ability, skills, experience, work history and suitability to ensure that every employee meets our standards and earns your approval. The pre-screening step of our selection process starts with a preliminary qualification process (salary objectives, work interests and business skills, industry experience and qualifications, etc.) to determine whether an applicant has the skills, knowledge, and experience to merit further consideration for employment with Kelly. Kelly conducts the next phase of the selection process with a series of behavior-based interview questions. Recognizing that behavior is often more critical to success on the job than hard skills, Kelly carefully considers candidate responses to behavioral questions as part of our final hiring and placement decision criteria. We perform two or three reference checks for every employee. On customer request, we also implement background screens. Background screens are administered according to specific job-relatedness and customer requirements. The Kelly Guarantee: "Kelly Services guarantees that the Kelly employees assigned to the Customer shall satisfactorily perform the services ordered by the Customer. Upon reasonable notice from the Customer, Kelly will cancel all charges for unsatisfactory service."
  • #7 Competitive Pay and Benefits As more workers are choosing temporary or contract employment as a full-time, long-term career, benefits are becoming an increasingly important consideration in attracting and retaining qualified candidates. As an employer of choice within the staffing industry, we ensure that our employees are paid commensurate wages and provided medical and other benefit options that are critical to their quality of life. We conduct pay rate analyses to ensure that the wages we offer are competitive within the industry and local markets. And we make health benefits available to our employees, including medical, prescription drug, vision, dental, life and short-term disability options. In addition, all of our employees are eligible for vacation and holiday pay. 401k and other benefit options are also available, although on a more limited basis. Benefit Evaluation & Analysis To remain competitive in today ’ s labor market, Kelly recognizes that our benefits must meet or exceed those offered by our competitors. Kelly regularly analyzes what benefits are available and those that are important to our temporary employees. Benefit packages are revised or created to meet these changing needs.
