To Whom It May Concern:
I am writing this letter of recommendation in regards to Katie Lehman. I have only known Katie for a short time but she left a
lasting impression. She was a volunteer during the Autism Training that I help present each summer for the U-46 school district.
Katie showed her professionalism in many ways. She was always prompt for the training, helped by staying later to complete any
preparations for the next day and she displayed professionalism with her appearance. Katie showed natural intuition with the
students she worked with. This is a skill that cannot be taught. When presented with challenging behaviors of the students, Katie
was calm and used first/then strategies to help the child recover. She was not afraid to ask questions or initiate helping where help
was needed. Her self-motivation was a strong asset during our busy training session.
Katie’s academic record and her training and past experience will help her to be a successful teacher in the future. I know her
personality, professionalism and self-motivation are all strengths to help her as she proceeds to implement her craft of teaching. I
would be proud to call her my colleague.
