To Whom It May Concern:
I feel quite honored when my mentor, Kathy Brady, asked me to write a letter of recommendation
for her. She truly is an incredible individual.
In addition to being my mentor for the past five years, Kathy has been an incredible friend, and
most of all, a positive role model in my life. As a senior at Colorado State University, it may seem
out of the ordinary that we connect so well, however it is because Kathy is one of the most
personable, compassionate, loving individuals I have ever had the pleasure to name as my friend.
We were first connected through an organization called Young Life, where Kathy demonstrated
leadership and commitment for over 4 years. She worked and continues to work through other
facets directly with high school adolescents. Working with this population, she has learned the
importance of trust and patience and demonstrated that specifically through her relationship with
me. She has an honest and optimistic attitude that is contagious to everyone she surrounds herself
with.
Like previously mentioned, Kathy obtained a great deal of knowledge and experience mentoring
adolescents in a range of different environments. Whether it be at the annual summer camp or
winter camp, or even having a personal conversation in a less formal setting, Kathy has an intense
gift of connecting with individuals in a very unique and treasured way. Kathy has a charismatic
personality and is always cheerful and smiling, she is also very social and personable, and has no
trouble interacting and communicating with anyone and everyone. This skill is essential to be
successful in any career path, and she without a doubt possesses it. She has shown great
leadership in written and communication skills, and really takes ownership and pride in her work.
Kathy is also a critical problem solver. Much thought goes into the things Kathy does, and she has
an unusual ability to notice what others overlook. Her internationality highlights her ability to work
with other employees and specifically as a team member.
Kathy has a mature understanding of herself spiritually, relationally, and emotionally. She really
possesses admirable qualities beneficial to any group.
I could continue with descriptions of Kathy’s many other good qualities- her work ethic, her energy,
and her creativeness to name three. Instead I would simply like to say how much I think of Kathy
and how strongly I recommend her for any task that requires heart, problem solving and a high
level of commitment.
Sincerely,
Danielle Lohman
