This document analyzes tourism in the proposed Kavango-Zambezi Transfrontier Conservation Area (TFCA), which would span parts of five countries in southern Africa. It surveys accommodation providers and tour operators across the region to establish a baseline of current tourism activity. The surveys found that tourism is an important industry for the region, with many lodges and camps hosting thousands of visitors annually. However, the sector is still relatively small and could see significant growth if the TFCA increases conservation and promotes sustainable tourism development.
