KAPSARC is an independent nonprofit research center in Saudi Arabia focused on energy economics, policy, technology, and the environment. It has a multinational research team studying issues like global energy markets and carbon management. The architectural vision for KAPSARC's building features an organic crystalline structure rising from the desert landscape with a protective shell and soft interior courtyards. Renderings, models, and construction status images of the building are also shown. The architect, Zaha Hadid, was the first woman to win the Pritzker Architecture Prize and is known for her futuristic curved forms evoking modern life.
