This document discusses the importance of maintaining order and cleanliness through implementing 5S principles. It contains 3 key points:
1. Clutter blocks energy and wastes resources at the physical, mental and intellectual levels. Maintaining standardization and cleaning helps reduce clutter.
2. Small, consistent actions like respecting time, paying attention to details and striving for perfection can help individuals and organizations become world class through continuous improvement approaches like Kaizen.
3. Implementing 5S principles can help create order and cleanliness in various settings like educational institutions, libraries and homes by establishing standards for organizing and storing items so they can be easily found and put away.
I created this presentation for a 3 hour motivation session for 240 civil service aspirants. These are the people who would one day be occupying leading positions in our Government's Administrative and other government service sections. Although many of the ideas and literature have been inspired and taken from various sources, and I'm deeply indebted to the owners of those information, I presented the same using a lot of examples and observations from my own experiences. I also used 3 movie clips as anchor clips in order to emphasize the messages I was putting across. If you need any further information about the presentation, please do not hesitate to contact me.
