Management Structure
The management team at Five-Star Cleaning Company is made up of a CEO and a six member board of directors. Each member of the management team has a background in the areas of business, research, environmental science, and/or management, ensuring that every decision is made with the adequate knowledge to be of greatest advantage to the company. Aiding this group is a highly skilled research, development, and marketing team. This group is responsible for watching changes in trends, creating and monitoring innovations in cleaning processes and products, website and app development, and promoting the cleaning service. The next groups are human resources, accounting, and general management. These groups are responsible for hiring, paying, training, and managing our staff of elite housekeepers. The human resources department will ensure that employee morale is high, that employment laws are being enforced in each area, and that ethical practices are explained and implemented. The accounting department will ensure that all financial reports, bookkeeping, and payroll are being maintained with a standard of excellence and consistency. The general management department will oversee employee training and scheduling, as well as resolving customer service issues. The operations department wraps up our company, with a strong team of dispatchers and housekeepers. Our structural style here at Five-Star Cleaning is a functional structure to implement the differentiation strategy (Hitt, Ireland, & Hoskisson. 2015.). Below is a chart of that structure.

McKinsey 7-S Assessment/Model
Five-Star Cleaning Company’s organizational design can be examined with the use of the McKinsey 7s model. In this respect, the company has made progress in its strategy, structure, systems, shared values, style, staff, and skills. The company has effectively aligned these key areas in a way that enables it to realize its objectives (Fleisher & Bensoussan, 2015). First, at its strategic level, the organization aims at dominating the national local market through penetration. In as much as it has already established itself, it seeks to distribute itself in both rural and urban concerns of the United States and in the online platform in order to enjoy dominance. The business aims at ensuring that its services dominate the industry and get the first priority from clients who prefer quality and convenience.
From a structural perspective, Five-Star aims at operating using a simple organizational structure. Since it mainly operates locally, the company is going to have a centralized system of ...

Running head: GROUP PROJECT 1
Our company, DAKAT Foods, produces, markets, and sells wholesome and socially beneficial foods and beverages around the world. The purpose of our talk today is to tell you about our newest product, an organic, fair trade, low-glycemic, environmentally friendly, and socially responsible iced coffee drink called HAPPUCCINO.
Product
HAPPUCCINO is a blended organic and fair trade blended iced coffee, deliciously creamy and served in compostable packaging. The product consists of organic fair trade coffee, organic and naturally low-carb sweeteners, and vegan nut-milks with other natural flavors. Our major competitors are Starbucks, Caribou Coffee, and Dunkin Donuts. Future partners will include REI, Whole Foods, Fresh Thyme, local grocery co-ops, and sustainability-minded restaurants and cafes.
Marketing strategy focuses on a business’s overall plan to reach and retain potential customers through establishing a value proposition, gathering demographic data, and setting objectives.
According to Abedin & Jafarzadeh (2013), a unique marketing strategy starts with product differentiation, which results in higher brand love, enhanced image, and customer loyalty.
The products’ value proposition is also based on a great customer experience supported by an outstanding store atmosphere meant to decrease stress and increase the sense of well-being in our customers.
Market and Customer
HAPPUCCINO will be marketed through the use of mass media and online social-media advertisements, focused on long term branding of the product as a healthy, sustainability-focused, customer-oriented, and ethical business. We will also partner with established brands to co-market our products together.
We plan to market HAPPUCCINO in several markets, including:
· Online, via social media including Facebook, Instagram, Tick-Tock, and other person-to-person social media platforms
· By engaging young influencers, such as popular Youtubers, young celebrities, sports figures, and others that our target customers trust.
· By cross-promoting with other brands in the LOHAS space, e.g., REI, Whole Foods, Fresh Thyme, local grocery co-ops, and sustainability-minded restaurants and cafes.
· We will run special ads in local publications, to drive foot traffic to our own and partner stores.
As HAPPUCCINO moves through its life cycle and gains market share, we may decide to increase pricing; e.g. skimming price strategy, to increase revenues and further establish our superiority in the crowded coffee market.
According to Akaeze and Akaeze (2017), business practitioners achieve a competitive advantage when they perform a careful value-creating plan or method not simultaneously performed by competitors. In our case, HAPPUCCINO is superior in health and environmental benefits.
It is instructive to note that most initial pricing strategies are temporary and as the product life cycle advances, there will be changes in the ...
1. Kaizen Event at Flesh Co
Each year Flesh Co performs several TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) Kaizen (Continuous
Improvement) events within the production area. These events are a highly structured team process
for renovating and updating legacy equipment. Once a piece of equipment is designated as the
target, a team of associates is assembled from various departments throughout the building. The
team has one week to complete the renovation during which time the member's only responsibility is
to the project. Early morning team meetings, working lunches and long hours are the norm during
the week. Goals are set prior to the process to gauge the improvements through scope sheets and
Lean Manufacturing methodologies made over the next several months in production. In June our
Kaizen team renovated Press 600, a six color UV press. The process includes improving
workstations, tool access, cleaning and replacement of any worn or damage parts. Ideas for altering
the equipment or surrounding area to improve efficiency are considered and implemented. Kaizen
events are part of Flesh Co's Total Quality Management to maintain our commitment of quality
products to our customers. Before and after images are available for viewing on Flesh Co's Facebook
page and website.
