Hi, my name is Benjamin Upalo Siwale and I have been involved with Kafue Celtics Football Club since 2018
as a Coach, committee member and PR Manager, I’m now celebrating my 2nd season at the club.
Kafue Celtics Football Club is one of the country’s leading producers of youth talent, increasing its youth
player-national team numbers by approximately 10% every year. We have a great history and reputation for
producing youth talent, playing fair and having great supporters.
Our club is located centrally in the region and one of the fastest growing sporting areas at the heart of Kafue.
Kafue Celtics Football Club offers great potential for your business’ exposure by association with our team. We
also focus on nurturing young athletes and this has been evident with the clubs success over the past 5 years.
Our club consistently produces great youth talent e.g Enock Mwepu, Patson Daka, Musonda Siame, Prosper
Chiluya, Nathan Sinkala, Chisamba Lungu, Jackson Mwanza etc. and has the potential to become the foremost
youth oriented football club in the country.
Media interest is strong with our club due to our ability to produce great youth talent.

ABOUT THE CLUB. . .
Kafue Celtics Football Club formerly Lusaka Celtics FC was established in 2002 by Mr. Faran Qudire, who
withdrew his sponsorship of the club in 2008. It is currently owned and sponsored by Mr. Lee Kawanu and
Mr. Leonard Kawanu who relocated the team to Kafue in 2010. Lusaka Celtic has produced national team
players like Kennedy Mweene, Nathan Sinkala, Chisamba Lungu, Jackson Mwanza and Kennedy
Mudenda. 2017 has seen Kafue Celtics Football move to the Olympic Youth Development Centre in Lusaka
as a home ground. The club moved again, to the western fields in 2006, which is where they still are today.
Players
We have 40 players at Kafue Celtics and we have been growing at about 10% over the last 5 years. Our
players range in age from 16 to 26. We, over the last 2 seasons, have seen our biggest growth and we are
predicting our biggest increase in players ever in 2018 on the back of a stellar 2016 which saw 4 of our
athletes being drafted into the 2017 Under 20 AFCON winning side with 3 of those 4 athletes being
consistent starters on the team.
Fields & Club
We are currently situated in Matero and are currently making use of the Olympic Youth Development Centre
football grounds, which is right beside the National Heroes Stadium. We have been here since the start of
the 2017 season. We share this venue with OYDC football academy. Our venue attracts a broad range of
sports people and spectators seven days a week. We have 1 full size football fields which is fully lit with
match standard lighting. The fields are maintained by the OYDC grounds men and are always in good
condition.
Social & Fundraising
Over the past few months Kafue Celtics have been planning and organized the NOT JUST FOR KICKS
event, which will be held at the OYDC and involve a fun filled afternoon of football, with a local celebrities
game culminating in the main event which will be a match between Kafue Celtics FC and a social football
team.

The Kafue Celtics Football Club has approximately 34 game weekends per year with attendances around
the 200 mark. Home matches attract a whole new group of prospective customers to your business.
Kafue Celtics Email Newsletter
In the 2018 Season, this email newsletter will be sent out monthly and consist of club updates, generally
football around the country updates, event updates, photos from the past months and sponsor information.
This will have links back to the website, and consist of a monthly prize for find the star. This
is another way that you brand will be placed strategically in front of all our members.
Kafue Celtics APP
Launching in the 2018 Season, the app will be found on the phone of every member who wants to have
very quick access and receive instant messages from the club. This will be a very useful app that will allow
members to get instant information on field closures etc. The app will also include all club information from
fixtures, scores, fields & directions, field closures, events, and every sponsor will be within the sponsorship
tab. Platinum and Gold Sponsors will have a rotating banner at the top of the APP and it will provide more
opportunities to get your brand out there during the season.
