Organizational culture can influence employee job satisfaction and intention to leave. This study examines the impact of organizational culture on these factors within the fitness industry. A survey was developed to measure the multidimensional culture within fitness organizations. Preliminary analyses identified eight cultural dimensions: staff competency, atmosphere, connectedness, formalization, sales, service-equipment, service-programs, and organizational presence. The relationships between these dimensions, job satisfaction, and intention to leave were then examined using path analysis. The results provided a partially mediated model of organizational culture that explained over 14% of the variance in job satisfaction and over 50% of the variance in intention to leave.
