Tesco Monifieth Sponsored Walk:
We are delighted to reveal that we raised £328 between
our small group of walkers! (Shown: right) We walked
from our store here in Monifieth to Broughty Ferry Castle
and back. All money raised is in aid of our Partnership
Charities, Diabetes UK and The British Heart Foundation.
We hope to make this a yearly event and to walk even
further next year!
The Monifieth Befriending Scheme - Our Local Charity:
We are continuing to work closely with our friends in the Monifieth
Befriending Scheme and are very much looking forward to seeing them in-
store for their awareness day on Wednesday 31st August this year.
This month our Community Champion Richard and Checkouts Manager
Mandy attended the Befriending Summer Lunch where they both had the
opportunity to get to know the volunteers and the clients involved. It was a
great eye-opener to the value in which this form of charity work holds within
our surrounding community. Our colleagues were made very welcome during the event and it was amazing to see
the joy throughout the lunch hall, full of conversation and laughter.
We would like to say a Very Big Thank You to everybody at the Befriending Scheme for inviting us and allowing us
to be a part of something wonderful.
MONIFIETH SWIM CLUB
