The Denness Luckhurst Foundation was established in 2014 to raise money for charities in memory of Mike Denness and Brian Luckhurst. Since then, it has raised over £28,000 through annual golf days for three charities: Lord Taverners, Mercy Ships, and St Francis Hospice. The Foundation is seeking sponsors and participants for its golf days to continue its work of supporting these charities. It provides various sponsorship packages for corporations interested in participating.
1. The Denness Luckhurst Foundation was established in 2014 by the children
of Mike Denness and Brian Luckhurst to raise money for charities in
their memories.
Since its
formation the
Foundation has
successfully
raised over
£28,000 for the
Lord Taverners,
Mercy Ships and
St Francis
Hospice, our
three chosen
charities.
We took the opportunity of visiting Lord’s, the home of cricket, to hand over our cheques to The Lord’s
Taverners and Mercy Ships, following this year’s event.
The two families would like to further this work by continuing to raise
funds through annual golf days, but we need your help.
The Foundation would like you to consider getting involved with the below
sponsorship options. If you have other ideas, we would be very happy in
speaking with you to see how those ideas could be realized.
We are a very small foundation and offer a fun event for those corporations
who want to invest in their corporate social responsibility.
2. Our supporters have found this
day very valuable and
rewarding by enabling them to
invite business partners and
customers to a fun day, on a
beautiful golf course whilst also
benefiting these deserving
charities.
Here is what one of our guests had to say:-
"Thank you to the Denness Luckhurst Foundation for inviting me and my
guests to participate in such a great event. It was a pleasure to be part of
your efforts to raise so much money at your golf day to support three
fantastic charities. An excellent effort and a real family affair, keep up the
great work DLF." Peter Mellett, Bankserve Insurance Services Ltd
A little information on our chosen charities;
The Lord’s Taverners is the UK's leading youth cricket and disability sports
charity whose mission is to give disadvantaged and disabled young people a
sporting chance.
Mercy Ships provide the world’s largest charitable floating hospital and
bring free medical care to some of the world’s poorest people. They are
almost entirely staffed by volunteers and rely of charitable donations to
continue their work. To date they have treated over 572,000 patients.
St Francis Hospice is an independent charity and one of the largest adult
hospices in the UK. Their team of specialist consultants, doctors, nurses
and a range of other health and social care professionals provide care and
support to individuals with a life-limiting illness completely free of charge.
