Best episode ever: Angular 2 from the perspective of an Angular 1 developerPeter Bouda
These are the slides of a talk I gave at the AngularJS Portugal Meetup in Lisbon on May 17th 2016. I talk about the migration path from Angular 1 to Angular 2, based on a little demo application. No TypeScript here, everything is ES6.
LF_APIStrat17_Super-Powered REST API TestingLF_APIStrat
Let's talk testing. You know you should do it, but you probably don't enjoy it very much. I'll try to change your mind about that by showing you just how easy – and fun – it can be to test REST APIs. Whether you prefer the command line, a text editor, or a GUI, I'll show you tools that will fit nicely into your workflow.
In this workshop, you'll get hands-on experience with multiple API testing tools. We'll test the same API in each tool to compare the differences between them, including features, limitations, and ease of use. So bring your laptop, or just watch me. Either way, I'll send you home with sample code, working demos, and a better understanding of API testing.

About the Presentation: Nikunj Patel will be presenting on Angular 2 CLI with Node JS.
• Are you a developer interested in TypeScript and Angular?
• Do you feel like setting up a solid Angular 2 environment is a huge pain?
• Is your Angular app becoming a maintenance nightmare?
• Are you seeing Code inconsistency due to lack of coding standards in your angular App?
Worry not, In this Live coding session we will explore the power of “Angular CLI” by developing an Angular Application. In the process, we will learn how easily we can produce a well structured, modular and testable code. We will discuss key points, shortcuts, gotchas and best practices of the Angular world. If Time permits, we will also develop backend Rest API using node.Js to power our Angular App to get a feel of how Angular can help you solve real-world problems.
Please come prepared with following installed so that we can hit the ground running.
Prerequisites :
Install Node.Js Install Visual Studio Code Install Google Chrome Install PostMan (Optional)
About the presenter:
Nik Patel is Sr. Software Engineer at Frontline Education. He has 7+ years of experience in a Full stack and works on .NET and MEAN stack. He strongly believes in “Paying it forward” and is committed to growing by learning and contributing back to the community.

Write an API for Almost Anything: The Amazing Power and Flexibility of Django...Caktus Group
Originally presented by Charlotte Mays at DjangoCon 2017. Abstract: Since the combination of Django and DRF makes it so easy to get a simple API running, it becomes a very powerful, flexible, and expandable tool for a variety of uses. The only thing these applications may have in common is their need to share data across the web. Whether you have not yet tested the waters of Django Rest Framework or you are a DRF veteran, this talk will inspire you to think both big and small when considering its potential uses.
At GitLab, we release a new version on 22nd of every month. This is a story of the evolution of GitLab Frontend and why we choose VueJS and how we use it on production.

Designing flexible apps deployable to App Engine, Cloud Functions, or Cloud Runwesley chun
Many people ask, "Which one is better for me: App Engine, Cloud Functions, or Cloud Run?" To help you learn more about them, understand their differences, appropriate use cases, etc., why not deploy the same app to all 3? With this "test drive," you only need to make minor config changes between platforms. You'll also learn one of Google Cloud's AI/ML "building block" APIs as a bonus as the sample app is a simple "mini" Google Translate "MVP". This is a 45- 60-minute talk that reviews the Google Cloud serverless compute platforms then walks through the same app and its deployments. The code is maintained at https://github.com/googlecodelabs/cloud-nebulous-serverless-python

A quick talk that was given during 2010 about the main features of Play! framework.
This was given to the development team at Evoolv, which has kickstarted the web development over Play! framework which turned out was a decent choice.

With the big delays in the time it takes until an iOS jailbreak is public and stable, it is often not possible to test mobile apps in the latest iOS version. Occasionally customers might also provide builds that only work in iOS versions for which no jailbreak is available. On Android the situation is better, but there can also be problems to root certain phone models. These trends make security testing of mobile apps difficult. This talk will cover approaches to defeat common security mechanisms that must be bypassed in the absence of root/jailbreak.

Kubernetes & AI - Beauty and the Beast !?! @KCD Istanbul 2024Tobias Schneck
As AI technology is pushing into IT I was wondering myself, as an “infrastructure container kubernetes guy”, how get this fancy AI technology get managed from an infrastructure operational view? Is it possible to apply our lovely cloud native principals as well? What benefit’s both technologies could bring to each other?
Let me take this questions and provide you a short journey through existing deployment models and use cases for AI software. On practical examples, we discuss what cloud/on-premise strategy we may need for applying it to our own infrastructure to get it to work from an enterprise perspective. I want to give an overview about infrastructure requirements and technologies, what could be beneficial or limiting your AI use cases in an enterprise environment. An interactive Demo will give you some insides, what approaches I got already working for real.

Connector Corner: Automate dynamic content and events by pushing a buttonDianaGray10
Here is something new! In our next Connector Corner webinar, we will demonstrate how you can use a single workflow to:
Create a campaign using Mailchimp with merge tags/fields
Send an interactive Slack channel message (using buttons)
Have the message received by managers and peers along with a test email for review
But there’s more:
In a second workflow supporting the same use case, you’ll see:
Your campaign sent to target colleagues for approval
If the “Approve” button is clicked, a Jira/Zendesk ticket is created for the marketing design team
But—if the “Reject” button is pushed, colleagues will be alerted via Slack message
Join us to learn more about this new, human-in-the-loop capability, brought to you by Integration Service connectors.

Elevating Tactical DDD Patterns Through Object CalisthenicsDorra BARTAGUIZ
After immersing yourself in the blue book and its red counterpart, attending DDD-focused conferences, and applying tactical patterns, you're left with a crucial question: How do I ensure my design is effective? Tactical patterns within Domain-Driven Design (DDD) serve as guiding principles for creating clear and manageable domain models. However, achieving success with these patterns requires additional guidance. Interestingly, we've observed that a set of constraints initially designed for training purposes remarkably aligns with effective pattern implementation, offering a more ‘mechanical’ approach. Let's explore together how Object Calisthenics can elevate the design of your tactical DDD patterns, offering concrete help for those venturing into DDD for the first time!

Securing your Kubernetes cluster_ a step-by-step guide to success !KatiaHIMEUR1
Today, after several years of existence, an extremely active community and an ultra-dynamic ecosystem, Kubernetes has established itself as the de facto standard in container orchestration. Thanks to a wide range of managed services, it has never been so easy to set up a ready-to-use Kubernetes cluster.
However, this ease of use means that the subject of security in Kubernetes is often left for later, or even neglected. This exposes companies to significant risks.
In this talk, I'll show you step-by-step how to secure your Kubernetes cluster for greater peace of mind and reliability.
