GIFT ran its first YLP of 2012 in Hong Kong and Cambodia. 21 executives of 11 nationalities representing 13 organisations designed a business plan focused on the creation of a significant investment opportunity in water treatment and distribution in rural Cambodia. This diverse group was comprised of emerging leaders from countries including Japan, Australia, and Malaysia who were nominated by organisations such as BASF, NEC, ORIX, Origin Energy, SOMA group and others. The programme was conducted in close partnership with DEVENCO, one of Cambodia's first venture capital and investment firms who take a socially-oriented approach to investing.

1) Triple-S is a 6-year initiative in several countries including Mozambique that aims to improve rural water supply and sanitation services through sustainable service delivery at scale.
2) In Mozambique, IRC collaborated with government agencies and UNICEF to produce case studies on innovative practices in rural WASH from three provinces to identify lessons learned.

In the Netherlands, Dutch civil society organisations (CSOs) are tracking the water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) aid commitments of the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs. A key message is that both monitoring services and monitoring budgets / financial flows are important for evidence-based advocacy.

The PPA is an inter-governmental agency and member of the Council of Regional Organisations in the Pacific (CROP) to promote the direct cooperation of the Pacific island power utilities in technical training, exchange of information, sharing of senior management and engineering expertise and other activities of benefit to the members.
The PPA’s objective is to improve the quality of power in the region through a cooperative effort among the utilities, private sector and regional aid donors. Flinders Island Isolated Power System (IPS) Connect 2016 A DAKA PPA
The PPA is an inter-governmental agency and member of the Council of Regional Organisations in the Pacific (CROP) to promote the direct cooperation of the Pacific island power utilities in technical training, exchange of information, sharing of senior management and engineering expertise and other activities of benefit to the members.
The PPA’s objective is to improve the quality of power in the region through a cooperative effort among the utilities, private sector and regional aid donors. The PPA’s members pool their resources and expertise for their common benefit, gain international representation and improve access to international power sector assistance programmes.
Andrew Daka is currently Executive Director of the Pacific Power Association (PPA) an inter-governmental agency and member of the Council of Regional Organizations in the Pacific (CROP) to promote the direct cooperation of the Pacific island power utilities in engineering expertise, technical training, exchange of information, sharing of senior management and and other activities of benefit to the members.
The PPA’s objective is to improve the quality of power in the region through a cooperative effort among the utilities, private sector and regional aid donors. The PPA provides direct links between the private sector and member utilities to improve private sector services and thus make their presence in the region more productive.

- Las inequidades son más evidentes en el área rural donde un 38% de la población no tiene acceso al agua potable y el 70% no cuenta con un sistema digno de disposición sanitaria de excretas (letrina u otro sistema). Otro segmento postergado en términos de inversiones son los servicios atendidos directamente por los municipios (298 servicios a nivel nacional), en este segmento un 41% de la población no cuenta con el servicio de agua potable y un 62% con sistemas de alcantarillado. La situación de coberturas de servicios es menos desfavorable en Lima Metropolitana y en el ámbito de atención de las EPS municipales. En este panorama, para disminuir las inequidades de atención se debe privilegiar al medio rural y a los municipios que por su tamaño de mercado no están integradas a una EPS. Los subsidios a la demanda de estos segmentos deben estar en orden preferente de atención con los escasos recursos del Tesoro Público.
