Microsoft Excel is a free and a very familiar tool for all of us. Spreadsheets are used for a wide range of projects, but they are far from ideal when it comes to data capture in clinical trials. Excel wasn’t created to build case report forms (CRFs) or to compare and verify patient's data that’s collected in clinical research. Despite technological advances, many organizations still cling to spreadsheets.

Now more than ever, revenue cycle staff must be efficient and effective to avoid payment delays. It’s no surprise that working claims incorrectly will result in needless rework and often leads to denials. Learn how HRG transformed our quality program into a robust system designed to increase cash collections through consistent feedback and structured training. During this webinar, we’ll talk about how HRG rebuilt our quality review program using Kaizen tools and collaboration. We’ll also review quality scores from before and after to illustrate the success of the program thus far.
ChildStory District Solutions Showcase - Azeus/Mobile Field Assessment ToolChildStory
On 5 February we held a showcase of seven simple technology solutions that were thought up, designed and tested by Districts.
These solutions not only have the potential to make an immediate impact, but are critical in designing the range of broader technical solutions the ChildStory program will deliver.
Over one hundred frontline staff from across the state, the FACS Secretary and the program team came to Alexandria to see the progress of seven innovative solutions, but also to get hands-on experience using them to evaluate how they could support practice.
This is the presentation from one of the companies we're working with.
Report to the CERIFy project presenting findings from site visits and stakeholder interviews discussing ways in which esteem is measured and reported within partner institutions.
Presented by Stephanie Taylor at the CERIFy Data Surgery on May 19-20, 2011.

Objective
Seeking a part-time administrative position in Southern California to facilitate my return to
Graduate School.
Work Experience
Jan 2013 – Aug 2013 Clinical Business & Systems Associate; Covidien Neurovascular
• Negotiation, execution, and archival of various contracts between research organizations and
employees in conjunction with our legal department; spearheaded a tracking system that
allowed project managers and legal to view the status of all pending contracts, saving time
waiting for emails and phone calls.
• Worked closely with directors and VPs for forecasting and reporting of multimillion dollar
budgets for clinical trials and investigator sponsored research. Spreadsheets that I proposed
and created allowed for the root of budget discrepancies to be easily determined, and lead to
monthly budget variance decreasing by over 50%.
• Conceived and created departmental SharePoint site and template Excel spreadsheets for
uniform reporting across multiple project teams, allowing for efficient real time reports for
upper management.
• Invoice generation, receiving, processing, and tracking were linked to a new mid-month budget
reporting system that resulted in a ~33% increased rate of correct payment allocation since
2012. Proposed and worked on said system with our Finance department.
May 2012 – Jan 2013 Administrative Assistant; Covidien Neurovascular
• Generation and upkeep of a SharePoint site for the organized storage and sharing of scholarly
articles for the medical communications department, allowing for immediate, automated
access for Covidien employees.
• Archival of study documents in to electronic and physical investigator site files to be used
during FDA audits.
• Creation of study documents to be provided to investigators and internal personnel in
collaboration with clinical research associates.
• Performed interdepartmental copy review procedures to ensure marketing, legal, sales,
regulatory, and medical communications teams approved of external communication pieces
prior to release.
Jan 2012 – May 2012 Herbarium Curator; University of Wisconsin
• Systematic overhaul of the herbarium samples to restore the organization of the herbarium.
• Thorough review of all samples to update their classifications and ensure proper labeling.
• Developed and maintained a catalog of the species in Excel, including creating search tools to
allow datasets to be parsed by students and faculty.
Education
• University of Wisconsin - Madison: Bachelor of Science: Biology
Software Skills
• Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Acrobat.
