1. Joepamas Films Limited is a Volta Motion Picture Entertainment House
committed to promote the culture and values of the Ghanaians’ people through
films and documentaries. Over the past years, this dream has seen various levels of
development. To consolidate its gains, Joepamas Films a member of Association of
Ghana Industries (AGI) has been upgraded to a limited liability company and
requires more formalized mode of scientific and sound management with required
in depth professionalism and appropriate setting.
Introduction: JOEPAMAS Films is the leading first-ever and most popular Eʋe
Cultural, Drama and Movie Production House based in Ho, Volta Region in Ghana
since 15th
February 2003 and registered as a Limited Liability Company in 1st
March 2013 and relocated its head office Accra early last year.
2. Nature of Business: The company has been authorized to carries out these
businesses: Marketing/Distribution, Film Production, Film Reproduction, Live
Coverage, Documentation, TV Series, Training in Film Production and
Conferencing.
3. Description of Business: The company description of Industrial
Classification are include; MOTION PICTURE, VIDEO AND TELEVISION
PROGRAMME AND FILMS PRODUCTION ACTIVITIES
4. Vision: Joepamas Films Limited aims to be the leading Eʋe movies
production house in the developing, producing and promoting of Eʋe culture and
values through films in Volta Region, Ghana.
5. Mission: Joepamas Films Limited as the premiere Eʋe Motion Picture
Entertainment Company promotes the film industry through the identification,
training and casting of youthful talents with commitment, dedication and
professionalism in Film Acting, Editing, Photography, Directing and other Movie
production skills to promote the culture and values of Eʋes and other people of the
Volta Region.
6. Media Support: On 6th
August 2012, Joepamas Films Limited was host at
Hope FM 93.1, a popular radio station in Ho, V/R on the theme: “Better Volta
Agenda” to promote the work of the company efforts. On January 7, 2013,
Joepamas Films Limited held a press conference for journalists in Ho, and was
published in Daily Guide, GNA, Google websites etc during the week.
3. 7. External Environment: Joepamas Film Limited’s Movie, ‘Ametame’ (the
Traitor) and ‘Xɔlɔ Kae Nye Sia?’ (What a Friend?) were the only Eʋe movies
premiered at Volta Fair, 2011 at the Center for National Culture Auditorium, Ho.
This film unveils the true identity of the culture and tradition of the Eʋe people.
‘Ametame’ and ‘Xɔlɔ Kae Nye Sia?’ won the heart of the audience.
8. Target: Joepamas Films Limited creates job opportunities in the areas of
actor training, motion picture shooting and development, video documentary,
television programming and productions. These principal movie business
activities have been divided into departments as below:
a. Conferencing: Tourist centers and traditional culture of the Volta Region is
not receiving the needed exposure and promotion to generate needed revenue for
national development. This has hidden the rich cultural music, dance, sports and
entertainment values and image of the people. I believe with the needed support,
Joepamas Films Limited will host cultural displays annually. These may include
dancing and drumming, singing, kente weaving, local traditional games etc.
b. Film Production: This sector targets motion picture entertainment, by
producing Films, TV Series relating to Traditional Culture, History and
documentaries on Tourist Centers, Dancing, Drumming, Festivals, etc. Joepamas
Films Limited has produced good selling Eʋe Movies like ‘Gafia’, ‘Mawulolo’,
‘Alorkpli’, ‘Dzakpata’, ‘Nublanuivifafa’, ‘Fiƒode’, GAlolor’, ‘Dzoɖuametɔ’,
‘Nyedzidzi’, ‘Nuvɔfetu’, ‘Konyifafa’, among others. All this movies and
documentaries are marketed worldwide.
Currently, “King Agokoli of Notsie” another exciting Eʋe traditional story, and
‘AGBEZUGE’, both full of Volta’s cultural values are the next projects.
c. Television Station: Joepamas Films Limited is dreaming to be the first
organization to establish a TV Station in Volta Region to broadcast the pure and
true culture of Ghana people worldwide. If permission is granted, Joepamas Films
Limited’s “Volta TV” will not only enrich the valued traditional culture but also
organize educative programmes that will enhance peace, unity and above all unite
the people and give viewers insight into life and values of the people.
d. Training in Film Production: Tutorial and training of applicants in Film
Acting, Editing, Photography, Directing and other production skills are done
meticulously. The fees are moderate. Successful graduates and trainees with
exceptional skills are offered to feature in Joepamas Film productions. Joepamas
Films Limited is also engaged in TV Series, Live Coverage, Conferences and the
production of Eʋe/ Twi/English language Documentary films targeted at exposing
and harnessing the tourism potentials of the region. The production house has
trained hundreds (100) of actors, actresses and crews who are ready to meet future
demands for film production in the country. Past trainees have settled themselves
4. in various sections of the film industry; some are now in other movie houses,
others are freelances covering funerals, wedding, programmes, etc; and others have
setup their own movie production houses. They are still offered technical support
by Joepamas Films. It is our privileged experience to enhance the promotion of the
African culture for posterity.
