This job description is for an A&R coordinator who is responsible for finding new artists to sign to their record label, either by waiting for existing contracts with other labels to expire or making attractive offers to buy out those contracts immediately. The coordinator reports to the vice president of talent acquisition and is in charge of searching for new artists that align with their label, getting songs from artists, and requires skills in organization as well as knowledge of artist publicity and recent music industry contracts.
