Management Strengthening Intervention www.ectmih2019.org Situation Analysis MSI Workshop 1: problem analysis Further problem analysis in district MSI Workshop 2: develop strategies and workplan Implement strategies Observe & reflect: 2 visits by CRT 2 inter-district meetings Total length of time for one MSI cycle: approximately 10 months Initial engagement MSI Cycle
  • 4. Methods to support facilitation www.ectmih2019.org • Electronic toolkit • Short videos • Workshop with role play • Webinars • Shadowing and team work to facilitate the workshops, meetings etc • Timely reflection

  • 9. Government officials taking on facilitation • In Ghana they are leading the workshops • In Uganda leading many sessions • Moving from being directive to facilitating • Benefiting from important insights that support their work
  • 12. www.ectmih2019.org Conclusion • Effective facilitation is key to the success of the MSI • Adapting materials and approach where necessary • Multiple approaches are needed to develop capacity in facilitation • Facilitation skills developed can be applied to support implementation of other interventions
