Associate Professor of Business Administration

Mr. Delgado is a young man of uncommon skill, compassion and desire. At Whittier College he has excelled
academically and is an exemplary student. I have observed him closely over the last three-year academic years, both as a
student in my courses (financial accounting, business law, international legal issues in management, and a travel course
to China/Hong Kong), and as his Academic Advisor. I also serve as the faculty advisor to the Whittier Pre-Law Club, of
which Jesus was a founder and co-president. He is one of the most thoughtful and inquisitive students I have taught;
always examining the finer points of a topic and raising serious inquiry into issues well below the surface.
His ability to balance rigorous academic courses in business administration, leadership role and service to the
Pre-Law Club and as Student Government Treasurer, and multiple other activities, are a testament to his resilience and
determination. He is reliable, bright, caring, demanding, understanding, current, energetic, ambitious, and
determined—and possesses a warm and personable manner and an affable and exuberant personality. His verbal skills
are developed and refined and, when necessary, he can be quite persuasive.
Jesus is admired and respected by my colleagues and his contemporaries at Whittier College. I currently serve as
an associate professor of business administration, with primary teaching focus in the areas of business law and ethics,
and accounting. Of the many students I have instructed during the course of my twenty-three years at the university
level, including in the U.S., China, the U.A.E. and Kuwait, Jesus is in the top 10% (the top 1% at Whittier). This is no
ordinary applicant for a position with your firm, but one whose scholastic achievements and future promise are
commensurate with those of students of the highest caliber anywhere in the world. I do not make such representations
lightly. I honestly cannot identify any weaknesses or other concerns that might cause your firm to give pause in
determining whether to hire Mr. Delgado. I expect him to achieve in this prospective undertaking at the same high level
consistent with his past demonstrated and stellar performance. Not only does he have the requisite capacity to make a
substantive contribution to your organization, but I have no doubt he will go on as an employee to bring great credit and
distinction to himself and your organization. He comes with my highest recommendation.
