John the Baptist testified that Jesus came with two purposes: to be the lamb of God and to baptize with the Holy Spirit. Jesus intention and desire was for everyone who believed in Him to be baptized in the Holy Spirit and do what he had begun.
This document discusses who Jesus Christ is according to Christianity. It describes how Jesus claimed to be God based on statements he made and things he did, such as performing miracles. Jesus' followers, enemies, and even demons recognized his divinity. The Bible confirms Jesus' claim that he is the Son of God. The conclusion is that Jesus is both fully God and fully human, with both a divine and human nature united in one person. Believers are challenged to accept Jesus as the Lord and ruler of their lives.
Jesus resurrected from the dead on the first day of the week, Sunday. His disciples and Mary Magdalene discovered his tomb was empty and saw angels who said Jesus had risen. Jesus later appeared to his disciples and others, proving he had been resurrected with a glorified, physical body. His resurrection ensures that all who believe in him will also be resurrected to eternal life. Jesus then ascended to heaven and will one day return in the same way.
- Jesus knew that Judas would betray him, as it was foretold in scripture. At the last supper, Jesus troubled by what would happen, told the disciples one of them would betray him. He identified Judas by giving him a piece of bread dipped in broth. After receiving the bread, Satan entered Judas and he went out to betray Jesus to the chief priests. Though Jesus loved Judas, his betrayal was part of God's plan to fulfill scripture and bring about salvation for mankind.
Peter answers that Jesus is the Christ of God. While Jesus could be considered a great teacher or leader, the most important question is determining who He is. It is a question that has eternal consequences. Jesus performed miracles that proved His identity, like raising a boy from the dead, but some like John the Baptist still struggled with doubt. True knowledge of Jesus comes from a personal relationship with Him and surrendering one's life fully to Him as Lord.
This document discusses four key facts about Jesus that can be used to tell others about Him. 1) Jesus was fully human. He was born in history and had human experiences. 2) Jesus was more than a great teacher as He did miraculous things that only God can do and said things that only God can say. 3) Jesus overcame death by dying on the cross and rising from the tomb three days later, as witnessed by many. 4) Sharing one's own personal experience of how knowing Jesus has changed their life can help others understand who He is.
Message Series - I AM - Part 3 - I AM The Bread Of Life - Pastor Chuck Bernal...LifePointe Church
There is no crowd too big, need too small, or problem too deep for Jesus to address. The pastor discusses how Jesus fed thousands but the people only followed him for selfish reasons like miracles and gifts. Jesus calls them to seek eternal life instead of temporary things. He declares "I am the Bread of Life" and says whoever believes in him will never be spiritually hungry or thirsty again. Jesus explains that he came from heaven to do God's will and give eternal life to all who believe in him. He says that just as the Israelites ate manna in the desert but still died, he offers himself as the true bread from heaven that gives eternal life to all who partake of him.

True christianity and how it leads to islammuzaffertahir9
Muslims devoutly believe in Jesus, Moses and all other true prophets. Catholics, Protestants, and Muslims all claim to believe in Jesus. Why, then, are there such differences among his believers? The fact is that his teachings have been misinterpreted and misrepresented. Jesus himself did what a sincere Muslim would have done. He submitted to the will of God. He, further, prophesied the corning of Prophet Muhammad.
This short booklet offers Biblical teachings which disavow some beliefs which are wrongly attributed to Jesus Christ. It tells that there is no contradiction between Islam and true Christianity. True Christianity, in fact, leads to Islam.
The whole purpose of this booklet is to promote better understanding, closer relationship, peace, and harmony between Muslims and Christians.
Jesus said:
"Nevertheless I tell you the truth: it is expedient for you that I go away; for if I go not away, the comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment ... I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.
"Howbeit when he, the spirit of truth is come, he will guide you unto all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will show you things to come.
"He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall show it unto you". (John 16:7-15)

The document examines evidence for who Jesus Christ claimed to be based on testimony from various sources. It discusses what people in Jesus' time said about him, including that he taught with authority and some believed him to be the Messiah. It also examines what Jesus himself claimed, including that he could forgive sins, was the Son of God and eternal. The document argues that either Jesus' claims were true, making him the Son of God, or he was a liar based on the eyewitness testimony and fulfilled prophecies about the Messiah.
This document discusses the key beliefs about Jesus Christ held by the authors. It states that Jesus is the incarnate Son of God, fully God and fully man, who was born of the virgin Mary. It describes Jesus living a sinless life and performing miracles that demonstrated his divine authority. The document asserts Jesus willingly suffered and died to fulfill God's redemptive plan, rose from the dead, and ascended to heaven where he reigns at God's right hand.
The document discusses what Jesus did for humanity according to the Bible. It states that Jesus was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, sacrificed himself on the cross as an atonement for humanity's sins, and was resurrected from death. The document provides numerous Bible verses to support each of these points, showing that Jesus took on human form, lived without sin, and willingly died on the cross to save mankind from sin and death before rising from the grave.
The document provides an examination of Jesus' death and resurrection through various biblical passages and historical sources. It discusses Jesus' scourging, crowning with thorns, crucifixion at Golgotha between two thieves around the third hour (9 AM), his last words while on the cross quoting Psalms, and burial in a rich man's tomb. Old Testament prophecies from 700-500 BC are presented which foretell the Messiah's suffering. The document also explores historical references to crucifixion and archaeological evidence found in Jerusalem.
This document provides a summary of a sermon on John 6:1-71 about Jesus feeding the 5,000. The key points are:
1. Jesus performs the miracle of multiplying 5 loaves of bread and 2 fish to feed over 5,000 people, demonstrating His power and identifying Himself as the "bread of life."
2. When the crowds try to make Jesus king by force, He withdraws, showing that His kingdom is not of this world.
3. Jesus further establishes His divine authority by walking on water and calming a storm, telling His disciples "It is I; don't be afraid."
4. In response to the crowds seeking Him, Jesus teaches that
This document provides a summary and analysis of John 6:1-71 from a sermon delivered at First Baptist Church in Jackson, Mississippi. It discusses several key events and teachings from the passage:
1) Jesus feeds over 5,000 people with just five loaves of bread and two fish, demonstrating His power and identifying Himself as the "Bread of Life".
2) Jesus walks on water, further showing His divine nature and ability to calm storms.
3) Jesus teaches that believing in Him, rather than works or rituals, is what God requires for salvation and eternal life. He declares "I am the bread of life" seven times in John's gospel.
4) Many disciples
Jesus of Nazareth claimed to be God in both his words and actions. The document examines evidence from the historical record that Jesus exhibited divine attributes like omniscience, omnipotence, and eternality. It describes instances where Jesus demonstrated knowledge of future and private events, performed miracles that showed power over nature and disease, and made statements implying he was the eternal God. The document argues Jesus' life fulfills prophecies about God and that he directly claimed equality with God, providing biblical quotes to support its view that Jesus is the one true God.
This document contains passages from the Bible about the identity and claims of Jesus Christ. It includes references to Jesus saying "I am" in the Gospel of John and explaining that He is the Messiah spoken of in prophecy. The document poses the question of whether Jesus' claims to be God were true or false, and if false, whether that would make Him a liar, hypocrite, demon, fool or lunatic. It quotes C.S. Lewis arguing that Jesus cannot merely be considered a great moral teacher, but must be accepted as the Son of God or rejected.
This document provides an overview and commentary on Acts 1:1-11. It discusses key points from the passage, including:
1) Jesus appeared to the apostles over 40 days after his resurrection, providing convincing proofs of his resurrection.
2) Jesus commanded the apostles to remain in Jerusalem and wait for the promised Holy Spirit.
3) The apostles would receive power when the Holy Spirit came upon them, empowering them as witnesses in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and the ends of the earth.
The document uses Acts 1:1-11 to discuss the importance of the apostles receiving the correct message about Jesus, witnessing his post-resurrection appearances
This document discusses the nature of God as revealed in the Bible. It argues that while God manifests in different ways - as the Father in creation, the Son in redemption, and the Holy Spirit in regeneration - there is ultimately only one God. Jesus Christ, it asserts, was God manifest in the flesh, with both a human and divine nature. The Trinity doctrine is described as a man-made confusion, whereas the Bible consistently presents there being one God alone.
This is a collection of writings on the power of the Holy Spirit to enable believers to be witnesses for Christ in the world. It is a key factor in evangelism.
1) The document discusses the historical evidence for Jesus' resurrection, which is the central event of Christianity.
2) It outlines nine biblical proofs for the resurrection, including Jesus predicting his death and resurrection, being buried in a known tomb, and appearing to his disciples after death.
3) Two historians, Thomas Arnold and Josephus, are cited as providing historical evidence outside the Bible that supports Jesus resurrecting from the dead.
The document argues that Jesus cannot be considered God based on evidence from the Bible. It provides numerous examples showing that Jesus was born human, had a family, experienced human development and weaknesses like ignorance and temptation. The document aims to refute the idea that Jesus shared God's nature or was in every way like God, claiming the belief that Jesus is God is blasphemous.
This document provides a summary of scripture passages about Jesus' last supper, crucifixion, and interaction with the penitent thief. It discusses Jesus instituting communion and telling his followers to remember him. It describes Jesus' six trials and crucifixion between two criminals. One criminal insults Jesus while the other expresses faith, asking Jesus to remember him in paradise. Jesus promises the penitent thief that today they will be together in paradise. The document examines the implications of this interaction.
This document discusses who was responsible for the death of Jesus Christ based on passages from the Bible. It considers that the Jews, Romans, God, Jesus himself, Satan, and all humanity contributed to his crucifixion. While the Jewish leaders supported his death sentence and the Romans carried out the execution, Jesus willingly sacrificed himself to fulfill God's plan and atone for the sins of humanity. Ultimately, the document concludes that everyone is partially responsible as Jesus died to save all people from the consequences of sin.
The document summarizes several passages from the Book of Mark in the Bible. It describes Jesus calling his first disciples as fishermen, driving out an evil spirit in a synagogue, praying alone, healing a man with leprosy, healing a paralytic, crowds following him due to his healing and preaching, the parable of the sower, seeds growing on their own, the importance of understanding his teachings, and calming a storm while sleeping on a boat with his disciples. The passages show Jesus performing miracles and teaching the people through stories and actions.
Written as a systematic history of Jesus birth death and resurrection. Luke's Gospel was written so that any reader can be certain of the facts of Jesus life. Luke shows the activity of the Holy Spirit preparing the way for the gospel.
1) Jesus teaches with authority in the synagogue in Capernaum on the Sabbath. When an evil spirit cries out, Jesus commands it to be quiet and come out of the man it possessed.
2) The people are amazed at Jesus' teaching and authority, as he is able to command evil spirits, which obey him.
3) Demons are fallen angels or unclean spirits that can possess humans and animals. Jesus has authority over demons and can cast them out, in contrast to the teachers of the law.
The document discusses Jesus in the Quran and Bible. It states that the Quran acknowledges Jesus as a prophet who was given revelation by God and strengthened with the Holy Spirit. Jesus performed miracles and taught people to obey God and his teachings. The Quran says Jesus was born of the virgin Mary and taken up bodily into heaven. It refers to Jesus as sinless and righteous.
The document discusses several ways to determine if the Bible is true:
1. Prophecy - The Bible contains many prophecies about Jesus that were fulfilled hundreds of years later, such as his place of birth and manner of death. Statistical analysis shows the chances of accidental fulfillment are extremely low.
2. Archaeology - Archaeological discoveries over the past 150 years have consistently confirmed places, names and events described in the Bible. For example, the discovery of Jericho's fallen walls matched the Biblical account.
3. Accuracy of the written text - Scholars agree the Bible manuscripts we have today accurately preserve the original writings, with only minor textual variations. No other religious text has been examined as thoroughly.
The Gift of the Holy Spirit is the next most precious gift after the forgiveness of sin. To receive the Holy Spirit people normally need to ask and then be prayed for by other Christians.

It then provides numerous quotes from the Bible emphasizing that the Bible is the word of God, a source of truth, guidance, protection, and eternal life. It asserts that whatever the Bible says about history, science, and other topics is factually correct.
The Bible tells an overarching story in three parts:
1) God creates the world but humanity rebels, resulting in sin and suffering.
2) God chooses Abraham and his descendants to bless all nations, but the Israelites often disobey. They are conquered but some return to their land.
3) God promises a savior, and Jesus is born and preaches, though rejected. He claims to save the world and offer eternal life.
The document discusses the Holy Spirit and how to receive Him. It describes the Holy Spirit as God who loves, comforts and empowers believers. It lists spiritual gifts the Holy Spirit gives, including wisdom, joy and power over sin and death. To receive the Holy Spirit, one must believe, ask God and receive by faith through prayer, as Jesus promised the Father would give the Holy Spirit to those who ask.
The document summarizes the story of the Bible through three trees:
1) The Tree of Knowledge in the Garden of Eden, whose fruit Adam and Eve ate, separating them from God.
2) The Tree of Calvary, where Jesus died on the cross to pay the price for humanity's sins and reconcile people to God.
3) The Tree of Life in paradise, which believers will have access to for eternity through faith in Jesus' atoning sacrifice on the cross.
The document is a slide presentation about the Holy Spirit being part of the Godhead. It provides several biblical passages from Genesis, Matthew, Acts, Romans, 1 Corinthians, and 1 John that describe the Holy Spirit's role in creation, prophecy, guiding the apostles, revealing God's will and mysteries, and being part of the Trinity. The overall message is that the Holy Spirit is an integral part of the Godhead based on descriptions and involvement in key events in the Bible.

Slides designed to go with a lecture on Martin Luther and the beginnings of the Protestant Reformation, including the controversy of Tetzel's sale of indulgences, the 95 Theses, the Diet of Worms, the German Peasants' Revolt, and the Peace of Augsburg. Martin Luther's doctrines are addressed in another lecture.
One day a little mouse was running on a sleeping lion, waking him up. The lion tried to eat the mouse but the mouse begged for his life, saying he may be able to help the lion someday. Amused, the lion let the mouse go. Later, hunters trapped the lion in ropes. The same little mouse happened upon the lion and gnawed through the ropes, freeing the lion. The mouse said to the lion "Was I not right?" showing how even a small creature can help a big one.
The document discusses various types of congenital and acquired deformities of the human body. It describes two main types of deformities - congenital, which are present at birth, and acquired, which develop after birth. For congenital deformities, it provides examples affecting the shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand. These include conditions like spangel's shoulder, congenital dislocation of the elbow, carpal fusions, and radial/ulnar club hand. It also discusses classifications of deformities based on their severity and treatments for some common congenital conditions.

- Passover begins on Nisan 15 according to the Hebrew calendar and lasts for 7 days, from April 23-30 in 2016.
- The significance of Passover is that it commemorates God delivering the Israelites from slavery in Egypt, and Jesus's sacrifice as the ultimate Passover lamb who delivers believers from sin.
- Believers are instructed to celebrate Passover by eating unleavened bread representing purity, rather than bread with leaven representing sin.
- God created the sun, moon and stars to govern day and night and mark seasons and holy days, including
The document provides details from Sunday school lessons on Jesus' death on the cross and resurrection based on passages from the Gospel of John. It summarizes key events like Jesus caring for his mother Mary from the cross, fulfilling prophecies as he died, his burial by Joseph of Arimathea and Nicodemus, and Mary Magdalene discovering the empty tomb. It then examines Jesus' appearances to Mary and the disciples after his resurrection, giving them the Holy Spirit and commissioning them to spread the gospel. The document analyzes these biblical passages in 4-5 sentences with commentary intended to teach the lessons.
The document is a summary of the Gospel of John chapter 1 verses 19-36 from a church in Jackson, Mississippi. It includes commentary on John the Baptist's testimony about Jesus and Jesus being identified as the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. Links and quotes are provided for further biblical context. Major Jewish holidays are also listed, with some noting potential connections to the rapture and second coming of Jesus.

In this study we answer the question "What is the Plan of Salvation?" by focusing on Jesus and answering three other questions: Why do we need Jesus?, What did Jesus do for us? and How do we receive salvation through Jesus?.

The document discusses the deity of Jesus Christ through several biblical passages. It explains that Matthew 28:18-20 reveals one God in three persons - the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. John's gospel proves that Jesus claimed to be God by saying "I am" in several passages, and his miracles confirm this claim. Colossians 1:15-18 and Hebrews 1 show that Jesus created and sustains all things, and the angels worship him as God. Finally, John 3:16 says that Jesus' role was to die for humanity's sins. The document invites believers to submit to Jesus Christ for salvation.
This document discusses the identity of Jesus Christ. It provides biblical passages showing that Jesus is God based on his use of the phrase "I am" and his relationship with God the Father. It argues that Jesus was not crucified on Good Friday but instead on a Wednesday based on an analysis of biblical accounts of Jesus' last days and Jewish calendar traditions. The document aims to correct misunderstandings and traditions not supported by scripture.

This document provides an overview of the teaching and person of Jesus according to the Christian worldview. It discusses key aspects of Jesus' life and ministry, including his audience, timeline, the gospels, his deity and humanity as the Messiah according to the Old Testament, his names and titles, and his mission of proclaiming the kingdom of God, revealing God, founding a global movement, and atoning for sins. The document utilizes multiple Bible verses to support its presentation of Jesus.
Jesus came to save people from their sins. He was born of a virgin, lived a perfect life, sacrificed himself on the cross to pay the penalty for sins, and rose from the dead to conquer death. Through faith in Jesus' work on the cross and resurrection, people can receive eternal life and salvation from their sins and judgment.

This document contains a summary of key points from the selected Bible passages and Ellen White quote:
1) The passages describe Jesus introducing himself as the Messiah and Son of God to the people in Nazareth, but they doubted and rejected him. John the Baptist also struggled with doubts in prison and sent disciples to ask Jesus if he was the coming one.
2) At Jesus' baptism and transfiguration, God the Father affirmed Jesus as his beloved Son. Peter later acknowledged Jesus as the Christ or Messiah.
3) The final quote emphasizes that true faith is shown through obedience to God's commandments, not just believing doctrines or making professions of faith. One must let Christ be revealed
As we study the Book of Acts in our Sunday services, you can deepen your knowledge and understanding of the Holy Spirit by taking this class, The Person and Work of the Holy Spirit taught by Pastor Cary Sharpe.
The document presents numerous biblical passages that describe Jesus as God. It asserts that Jesus is the one true God, that he created the world, that salvation comes only through him, and that the fullness of the Godhead exists in him. The overall message is that Jesus himself is God.
The document provides an overview of Jesus as presented in the four Gospels of the Bible. It discusses Jesus as the teacher who fulfills prophecies and teaches disciples, as the servant who suffers for salvation, as the messiah who heals and preaches to the poor, and as the son of God sent from heaven to be the savior. Key events and teachings from each Gospel are summarized such as the birth of Jesus, his parables, miracles of healing, and his declaration as the Christ or messiah.
The Paschal Mystery refers to Christ's passion, death, resurrection, and ascension. It is central to Christian faith as it relates to God's plan of salvation for humanity. The Paschal Mystery is commemorated in the liturgy and sacraments of the Church, especially the Eucharist. The key events of Jesus' passion included the Last Supper, agony in the garden, trial, crucifixion and death, followed by his resurrection on the third day and ascension into heaven. The Paschal Mystery reminds Christians that through suffering, death and new life are overcome, and it has implications for how they live daily.
12 Jesus Baptism, Temptations And Public Ministryfsweng
The document summarizes several parts of the Gospels related to Jesus' baptism and time in the desert. It discusses the significance of Jesus' baptism in identifying with sinners, being anointed by the Holy Spirit, and the proclamation of him being the Son of God. It then covers the three temptations Jesus faced in the desert and their parallels to failures of the Israelites. Jesus' rejection in Nazareth after proclaiming his mission is also summarized.
04. What is the Plan of Salvation notes (Letter Sized)William Anderson
These are the notes from the fourth teaching in the "Growing Deep in the Gospel" series which answers the question "What is the Plan of Salvation?". They are paper size Letter (United States)
This document discusses the biblical cleansing of a leper and how it prophetically points to Jesus cleansing mankind from sin. It describes the ritual cleansing process outlined in Leviticus involving a priest, two birds, cedar wood, scarlet yarn, and hyssop. These elements symbolize Jesus' death and resurrection, the cross, his suffering, and faith. The document examines various passages that reference Jesus' suffering and relates specific wounds and bleeding to potential physical and spiritual healings they can bring.
The document provides an overview and summary of the key points from Paul's letter to the Romans. It discusses how Romans pulls together the most important teachings from the Bible, confronting humanity with the truths of sin and salvation through Christ. It examines Romans chapter by chapter, highlighting Paul's arguments that people cannot be saved by works or obeying the law, but only by faith in Jesus. The document also notes Romans' fundamental role in Christian history and theology.
Acts is one of the most action packed books of the Bible. Luke describes the spread of the gospel from Jerusalem to Rome The challenge of Jesus to take the gospel to the ends of the earth was impossible with out the power and leadership of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is mentioned 43 times in Acts more than any other book.
1. John's gospel was written later than the other gospels, around 90 AD, decades after Jesus' death when Jerusalem and the Temple had been destroyed. It provides an eyewitness account from the disciple whom Jesus loved, commonly accepted to be the apostle John.
2. This gospel emphasizes the divine nature of Jesus as the Son of God through his signs and teachings, and highlights the division between those who believe and receive eternal life and those who refuse to believe and remain in judgment and sin.
3. The purpose is that readers may believe in Jesus as the Christ and Son of God and have life through believing in his name. John aims to provide spiritual insight so readers can truly know God the Father
Mark's gospel was written under the shadow of persecution. It is filled with action and only a small amount of teaching. It shows Jesus suffered and was victorious.
Matthew's gospel provides the link between the Old Testament and the New Testament of the Bible. He shows how Jesus' life fulfilled the prophecies concerning the Messiah. The key word for this Gospel is "Fulfilled". Matthew records Jesus' public teaching.
The word heart appears more than 800 times in the Bible but what does it mean? The heart is the totality of who I am, body, soul and spirit. past experiences especially traumatic experiences can create wounds of the heart. Rejection is a very common wound of the heart. There are two principles ways a wound of rejection is managed by trying to be good enough to gain acceptance (perfectionism) and by rebelling against the system denying the need for love and acceptance. In Jesus we can find acceptance and healing.
Walking by faith” means acting on what you believe.
Your belief system determines your behaviour. Explore what is a stronghold in the mind and how to build new ones using God's Word.
To understand and know who we are in Christ we need to know understand how God sees us. The problem is that most people have a false idea about what God is like that has been created by past experiences especially what they were taught or experienced as a child. To know the truth of who we are in Christ requires us to know the truth about what God is really like as revealed in the Scriptures and supremely in Jesus.
Being transformed in your mind (Romans12) means rethinking your self image. Those who have placed their trust in Jesus are in Christ. This is a fundamental change. Our identity is now who we are in Christ. The New testament has many descriptions of who we are in Christ and we need to live on the basis of these statements and not by what the world tells us were are or should be.
The document discusses the origins and meaning of the term "church" in the Bible. It notes that in the New Testament, "church" referred to groups of believers who would meet regularly in homes to worship, study the Bible, and share fellowship. Over time, as Christianity grew, dedicated buildings became the standard place of worship. However, the core meaning of the church remains the unified body of believers worldwide who are joined through their shared faith in Jesus Christ as the Son of God. The church's purpose is to continue Jesus's work by spreading the gospel message and discipling new believers.
Bible records may examples of supernatural miraculous healing through God's power working through a person. Jesus demonstrated God's power to heal, cast out demons and raise the dead. Jesus commanded His disciples to do the same. The power of the Holy Spirit flowing through a man or woman is available today to to carry on the work of Jesus.
E tell others about Jesus because we are excited and full of joy and want others to experience the same. Everybody is on a spiritual journey either toward god or away from God. The love of Jesus can be seen by what we do, what we say and and the demonstration of the power of God to heal and answer prayer. The most powerful testimony is the way we live our lives.
Jesus died so that all who believe in Him can receive the power and gifts of the Holy Spirit. Jesus tells us that if anyone asks to receive the Holy Spirit he will receive. The Holy Spirit is a good gift from the Father. Why would anyone hesitate to receive a good gift from God that Jesus suffered and died to make available.
We live in a a dark world filled with evil spiritual beings who want to kill, steal and destroy our happiness and relationship with God. Jesus faced many spiritual battles, so does every person. Every Christian is a soldier who needs to know the enemies tacts, how to defend himself and how to attack. The Bible reveals all this critical information.
Who is the Holy Spirit? Jesus died to make available to all believers the gift of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is a person part of the Godhead. The Holy Spirit is the Guide, the Helper, the Comforter and the Counselor. He makes available to believers the power and character of Jesus.
Want wants to speak to us. We need to ask Him and train our selves to recognize when God communicates with us. There are seven ways He normally communicates with us. His voice, His written word, Your heart, prophecy, dreams, visions or circumstances.
The document discusses why people value and risk so much to own a Bible, and why the Bible has power to change lives. It notes that while written by many authors over centuries, the Bible contains a complete integrated message from God. Several Bible passages are presented that testify to the authority and reliability of Scripture. The document argues that the Bible should be read because it is God's Word that can teach truth, correct mistakes, make lives whole, and train people to do what is right. Reading the Bible with an open mindset will help one understand God and his ways.
Prayer comes out of relationship with God. Jesus gave us a template to show us how to pray to our heavenly Father. The vital ingredient for any relationship is time. Unless we invest time in a relationship it does not grow but fades. The time we spend with the Father is never wasted.
Based on the Alpha course. Faith is acting on what we believe is true and will happen. Three factors enable us to have faith, the promises of God in the Bible, the reputation of God in the past and the testimony of others and personal experience. Small steps of trust lead to bigger steps.
Why did Jesus have to die? The Law of God is the penalty of sin is death. God can not change this without changing Who He is. Jesus comes to each person offers to take their sin in exchange for His righteousness. He then had to die our punishment for sin so that we can receive the righteousness of God.

Lição 12: João 15 a 17 – O Espírito Santo e a Oração Sacerdotal | 2° Trimestr...OmarBarrezueta1
The Book of Revelation, filled with symbolic and apocalyptic imagery, presents one of its most striking visions in Revelation 9:3-12—the locust army. Understanding the significance of this locust army provides insight into the broader themes of divine judgment, protection, and the ultimate triumph of God’s will as depicted in Revelation.

Astronism, Cosmism and Cosmodeism: the space religions espousing the doctrine...Cometan
This lecture created by Brandon Taylorian (aka Cometan) specially for the CESNUR Conference held Bordeaux in June 2024 provides a brief introduction to the legacy of religious and philosophical thought that Astronism emerges from, namely the discourse on transcension started assuredly by the Cosmists in Russia in the mid-to-late nineteenth century and then carried on and developed by Mordecai Nessyahu in Cosmodeism in the twentieth century. Cometan also then provides some detail on his story in founding Astronism in the early twenty-first century from 2013 along with details on the central Astronist doctrine of transcension. Finally, the lecture concludes with some contributions made by space religions and space philosophy and their influences on various cultural facets in art, literature and film.
Lucid Dreaming: Understanding the Risks and Benefits
The ability to control one's dreams or for the dreamer to be aware that he or she is dreaming. This process, called lucid dreaming, has some potential risks as well as many fascinating benefits. However, many people are hesitant to try it initially for fear of the potential dangers. This article aims to clarify these concerns by exploring both the risks and benefits of lucid dreaming.
The Benefits of Lucid Dreaming
Lucid dreaming allows a person to take control of their dream world, helping them overcome their fears and eliminate nightmares. This technique is particularly useful for mental health. By taking control of their dreams, individuals can face challenging scenarios in a controlled environment, which can help reduce anxiety and increase self-confidence.
Addressing Common Concerns
Physical Harm in Dreams Lucid dreaming is fundamentally safe. In a lucid dream, everything is a creation of your mind. Therefore, nothing in the dream can physically harm you. Despite the vividness and realness of the dream experience, it remains entirely within your mental landscape, posing no physical danger.
Mental Health Risks Concerns about developing PTSD or other mental illnesses from lucid dreaming are unfounded. As soon as you wake up, it's clear that the events experienced in the dream were not real. On the contrary, lucid dreaming is often seen as a therapeutic tool for conditions like PTSD, as it allows individuals to reframe and manage their thoughts.
Potential Risks of Lucid Dreaming
While generally safe, lucid dreaming does come with a few risks as well:
Mixing Dream Memories with Reality Long-term lucid dreamers might occasionally confuse dream memories with real ones, creating false memories. This issue is rare and preventable by maintaining a dream journal and avoiding lucid dreaming about real-life people or places too frequently.
Escapism Using lucid dreaming to escape reality can be problematic if it interferes with your daily life. While it is sometimes beneficial to escape and relieve the stress of reality, relying on lucid dreaming for happiness can hinder personal growth and productivity.
Feeling Tired After Lucid Dreaming Some people report feeling tired after lucid dreaming. This tiredness is not due to the dreams themselves but often results from not getting enough sleep or using techniques that disrupt sleep patterns. Taking breaks and ensuring adequate sleep can prevent this.
Mental Exhaustion Lucid dreaming can be mentally taxing if practiced excessively without breaks. It’s important to balance lucid dreaming with regular sleep to avoid mental fatigue.
Lucid dreaming is safe and beneficial if done with caution. It has many benefits, such as overcoming fear and improving mental health, and minimal risks. There are many resources and tutorials available for those interested in trying it.
