· Exercise $2,500,000 loan approval authority to recommend new money, renewals, annual reviews and daily overdraft 
transactions to the Business Banking department’s credit officer. 
· Underwrite and manage commercial and industrial loan portfolio of approximately 50 clients with revenues from $3 
million to $100 million totaling approximately $50 million in portfolio commitments for Northwest Indiana Business 
Banking team. Client loan commitments ranged from $500,000 to $15 million. 
· Monitor and analyze monthly/quarterly borrower financial statements, financial covenants, borrowing base certificates 
and customer financial triggers. Review loan documents prior to loan closings. Perform spreadsheet modeling for 
working capital needs and financial statement projections. Prepare and present credit memos to the High Risk Loan 
Meetings for credits with deteriorating operating results. Meet with clients to review operating results and negotiate credit 
terms. 
· Identify cross-sale opportunities with existing portfolio and new prospects for cash management, capital market products 
(interest rate protection products), foreign exchange, merchant card services, wealth management and equipment leasing. 
· Clients included industries such as manufacturing, services, distribution, contractors, not for profit and health care. 
Vice President, Credit Manager, Business Banking, BMO Harris Bank, Chicago, IL (November 2007 – October 2008) 
· Managed and mentored a credit team of three analysts underwriting credit requests for business banking and real estate 
business lines for the Northwest Indiana region. Reviewed loan approval documents, Moody’s MRA spreads and Basal 
data input prior to submission of loan package for approval by the sales manager and credit officer. Recommended credit 
structure to the relationship managers such as covenants, collateral and terms. Supported the Northwest Indiana business 
banking and real estate portfolio of approximately $250 million for new money requests to new clients, increase requests 
from existing clients and renewals/reviews of existing facilities for existing clients. Client loan commitments ranged 
from $50,000 to $20 million. Client revenues ranged from $500,000 to $100 million. The average loan commitment to a 
client was approximately $1.5 million. 
· Monitored and prepared weekly and monthly loan production reports for credit department senior managers, business 
banking sales manager and real estate sales manager. Presented portfolio updates regarding credit policies, new money 
requests and renewal/review requests at sales meetings for the business banking and real estate sales team. 
Vice President, Team Leader, Merrill Lynch Business Financial Services, Chicago, IL (May 2004 – November 2007) 
· Exercised $1,000,000 approval authority for credit memorandum packages. Total loan size of the portfolio was 
approximately $350 million with approximately 300 customer relationships. I also managed a client portfolio of 
approximately 50 - 75 relationships with loan commitments totaling approximately $60 million. 
· Mentored and coached a team of four portfolio officers supporting clients located in various parts of New York, 
Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Connecticut. 
· Underwrote and recommended credit structure for client loan facility commitment increases, facility renewals and balloon 
refinances. The client commitment exposure ranged from $100,000 to $8 million. Revenue level of clients ranged from 
$1 million to $400 million. Transactions included industries such as manufacturing, service, wholesale/distribution, 
retail, contractors, ESOP owned, leveraged financed, not-for-profit, legal and healthcare. 
· Reviewed Moody’s MFA financial statement spreads for accuracy. Monitored financial reporting requirements such as 
financial statements, covenant compliance certificates, asset based line of credit reporting, and miscellaneous statements 
for completeness and timeliness. Reviewed and executed various portfolio letters that were sent to clients. Prepared loan 
quality memos for credit transactions experiencing deteriorating financial trends. 
· Scheduled conference calls with management and/or owners of clients to discuss credit issues such as financial 
performance trends, statement reporting requirements, overdrafts, and covenant compliance issues. Notified the sales 
team and branch personnel of any material change or issues in the client relationship. Involved in active consultation 
with Merrill Lynch Business Financial Services’ in-house legal, loan documentation and work-out groups to ensure 
understanding of client issues and resolution to certain client transactions. 
Assistant Vice President, Portfolio Manager, Middle Market, US Bank, Chicago, IL (January 1998 – May 2004) 
· Underwrote loan requests and syndicated transactions up to $25 million for corporations with revenues up to $250 million. 
Analyzed financial statements including SEC 10-K & 10-Q reports. Managed the division’s financial statement reporting 
requirement tracking system for a loan portfolio of $125 million. Prepared reports summarizing the current status and outlook of 
commercial loans risk rated “monitor” or worse within the division. Tracked, prepared and measured credit quality reports for 
middle market divisions in Illinois for the Market President. Presented year-to-date credit quality results versus annual goals for 
four divisions at divisional manager meetings.
