Appointed to create a LAN for a small office utilizing virtual machines running Windows
Server 2008. Criteria included: All users must be able to receive a dynamic IP address, any
sedentary devices should have a static IP address, and users must be able to access the
Internet. Drafted the schematic using Microsoft Visio and created the network in a virtual
environment using VMWare Workstation.
Helped coach team members to alleviate stress from presenting. Performed mock
demonstrations to develop methods of controlling emotions in front of a crowd. Practiced in
front of small groups and built up to a classroom sized audience. Training resulted in a
successful presentation and a grade concurrent with our efforts in the program.
Researching and Visualizing
Fabricated a business model for a religious and educational center in order to develop a
system to store information about the organization and its members. Created a database to
keep all the material in one location. Linked the database to a server connected to the Internet
so patrons could access the forms from their homes.
Engaged in a mock infiltration scenario against two other teams in which the ultimate goal
was the collapse of the other teams’ networks. Learned about the other teams’ networks and
penetration software in order to launch the most effective attack. Utilized Kali Linux in an
attempt to exploit any vulnerabilities in their network.
Compiled a visual representation of a topical issue in order to sway popular opinion towards
action on the topic. Found compelling imagery and mixed it with motivational phrases to
incite resolution. Recorded commentary to explain the main ideas and why the audience
should agree and superimposed this on top of a slide show of the images. Took feedback and
questions from the crowd following the presentation.
Writing/Explaining and Editing
Requisitioned to create a user’s guide for a popular form of social media. Gathered
information about sign up procedures and general navigation of the program. Documented all
steps and compiled them into a word document for future analysis. Considered the best
method of presentation and finally decided to use a slide show. Accustomed users to the
guide and accepted feedback from the gallery.
Designated to proofread the last presentation for a graduate level English class at the
University. Fixed all erroneous material and grammatical errors then presented the final copy
to the teacher for approval. Presented to the class and received stellar marks on the finished
product.
Prepared documentation to instruct users how to put information in forms being stored in a
database. Gave documentation to peers to see if they were able to successfully navigate the
fields on the forms. Had document professionally prepared at an office supply depot and
distributed it to members of the faculty.
