Using ExamSoft Data to Prepare For and Ease the Accreditation ProcessExamSoft
Presented by Kimberly K. Daugherty, PharmD, BCPS, Professor and Assistant Dean of Academic Affairs and Assessment, Sullivan University College of Pharmacy, and Ashley Castleberry, PharmD, MAEd, Assistant Professor and Director of Assessment, University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Pharmacy, and Leah Simpson, EdD, MPA, Director of Curriculum Development and Assessment, University of Kentucky
When preparing for the accreditation process, ExamSoft data can be used to document student mastery of accreditation standards, the student development of self-awareness, as well as provide data for course and curriculum improvement. Data from ExamSoft can also provide students with report cards providing autonomy supportive feedback (“feed up, feed back, feed forward”). In this model, the first step is to establish a clear goal for the students to obtain (feed up). Next, the teacher responds to the work being done (feed back). Finally, students are provided with ways to improve attainment of their goals (feed forward). This process can also be useful for the teacher as it allows for justifiable improvement in teaching and in the course. Student report cards are autonomy supportive, as they can provide students with the goal to obtain (achievement of the program outcomes) and allow the teacher or advisor to comment on things being done well or needing improvement. It is possible to collate student data so that a college can see which outcomes are being taught well in the curriculum and which may need improvement. Finally, report cards can be useful tools to help students develop and practice their metacognitive skills. The University of Arkansas, University of Kentucky, and Sullivan University Colleges of Pharmacy have been using this type of data to improve student learning and performance. The purpose of this session is to describe how ExamSoft longitudinal assessment data can be used to develop a report card for students showing their progression through a curriculum and how this data can be used for accreditation.

During the beginning of the course, an articulation matrix specifying the number
of hours for each course outcome and the evaluation scheme for all outcomes were
specified. Based on the marks obtained by students in first and second sessional tests,
assignments and end semester examination, normalized value of course outcome
attainment score were evaluated. Knowledge accomplishment of an undergraduate
course has been analysed based on individual CO attainment through normalized
marks for each CO – direct method / predefined rubric and conclusions were drawn
on attainment of course outcomes.

Embracing GenAI - A Strategic ImperativePeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.
The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

6. • JEE (Main) - 2014 had one paper; and had three parts -
Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. In each part there are
30 questions carries 4marks each and for wrongly attempted
question minus 1 mark will be awarded. Finally paper
contains 90 questions and maximum marks for the paper
is 360.Time duration is 3 hr.is 360.Time duration is 3 hr.
• It is also evident that the difficulty level of the question paper
in JEE (Main) - 2014 has increased a little bit more when
compared with JEE(Main)-2013. But several other state
students feel it as difficult when compared with JEE(Main)-
2013.
7. • The question paper setters were given guidelines to frame
questions in such a way that at least 30% of the questions can
be attempted by any candidate with good preparation for the
board examination.board examination.
• In JEE(Main)-2014 as well as in previous JEE exams, the
question paper is divided among the three subjects,
Mathematics appears first, followed by Physics and Chemistry
also order had changed according to the code assigned on it.
8. • Analysis of the number of questions attempted by the
students in this Paper shows that maximum numbers of un-
attempted questions are invariably in physics followed by
chemistry and mathematics.
• This is due to the paucity in time available to the student.
Considering the fact that quantitative skills are an extremely
important component of the testing process.
• In mathematics nearly about 23 questions are direct and
simple .If any students regularly solving problems from
AKASH INTEGRATED TEST BOOKS prepared by
SRI CHAITANYA IIT ACADEMY should get more than 90% of
marks. Detailed analysis is as under.
