3. JOB PURPOSE/OBJECTIVE:
The HSE Supervisor is responsible for the design, implementation, communication and coordination of all
environmental, health, and safety programs for Agthia. This position will develop and provide technical and
administrative direction on all HSE decisions, which bear critical importance to overall Division objectives,
operations, and profitability. HSE Supervisor is responsible for establishing a HSE Management System
that is compliant with OHSAS 18001:2007, ISO14001:2015 and ADEHSMS (OHSAD), monitor compliance
with the HSE management system.

5. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Description Performance Indicators
 Implement and ensure adherence to the HSE policies
and procedures (International Standards, and Agthia
Standards) throughout CBD sites
 OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001
certification; HSE NCR records;
HSE audit and rating
 Identify health risks of personnel to the
management and promulgate opportunities for
improvement
 Risk assessments; Accident
reports and investigation;
Reduction of repetitive accidents;
LTA target achieved
 Audit & control general factory conditions HSE  HSE Audit reports meeting the
target; Lost time accidents

 Coordinate with laboratory and QHSE team regarding any
material, process, or even product that has an environmental
impact
 Maintain Environmental
awareness; wastage reduction;
NADAFA compliance / approval
 Proactively prevent accidents / Incidents
 Review internal HSE policies and practices to ensure they
are current and appropriate; conduct hazard and risk
assessments and change existing, or develop new
recommendations from these assessments
 HSE start-up procedure; PPE
usage and compliance

 Coordinating with the QA Manager on standards and
facilities resolutions of the international quality issues
and problems on the imported material and ensure that
all delivered products are HSE Assured / inspected (if
necessary) and meets the customer requirements
 QAHSE Performance tracker;

 Conduct training and awareness programs related to
HSE
 Emergency evacuation drills with
improvements on time; HSE
meetings and executed programs;
Health and Safety surveys to
benchmark awareness; Control of

 Ensure compliance to Regulatory requirements  Conduct Firefighting equipment
inspections in defined timelines;
Approvals from Civil defence;
NADAFA compliance
 Develop all the required documentation, operational
checks and reports for the HSE Management System to
be compliant with OHSAS 18001/2007 and ISO 14001/
2015 standards, including corrective and preventive
measures.
 Third Party Audits (Certifications
and regulatory)
 Ensure regular emergency response exercises and drills
are conducted to ensure the highest level of
preparedness in any emergency. Maintains records of
such drills, providing recommendations for emergency
response improvements;
 Supervises the regular inspection of firefighting, safety
and emergency response equipment.
 Assist in developing and implementing field location
emergency response procedures and evacuation plans
 Supervise on-site doctors and medical emergency
response preparation and implementation;
 Emergency Drill Reports
 Site Safety Inspection / HSE Audit

7. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Minimum Qualifications:
 Degree in Environmental Science / Safety / Engineering, or related technical field , IOSH / NEBOSH
/ OHSAS & ISO 14001 Lead auditor certifications equivalent certifications or IIRSM (MIIRSM), IOSH
membership
 Valid UAE Driving License
Minimum Experience:
 5-7 years functional experience; out of which 2 years should be in an equivalent Supervisory
position
 Minimum of 4 years of experience in a large organization in similar capacity.

Functional Knowledge:
 Knowledge of HSE legislation and its application
 Fluent English speaking and excellent report writing skills
 Qualified in implementation of EMS and OHSAS
 Qualified in HSE practices.
Job-Specific Skills:
 Good leadership skills to coordinate safety activities.
 Good communication skills that enable to conduct effective safety trainings.
 Strong knowledge in assessing HSE Risks
 Excellent analytical skills
 Able to be convincing, communicatively strong
 Excellent training skills
 Able to provide detailed audit reports, with relevant required preventive and corrective measures
 Driving license is must
 Ensure that operations employees, contractors and site
visitors receive HSE inductions for theatre operations;
 Lead the waste management plan and reduction of
carbon footprints
