Key Projects: Digit Recognizer: September 2013 Digit recognizer is a classification problem – given input data (an image), the problem is to determine which class (a number from 0 to 9) it belongs to. The problem was initiated using CART(Classification and Regression Trees) considering 70% of the data to build a predictive model. The CART model resulted in about 60% accurate in recognizing the digits. Then improve the accuracy Random Forest model was used. The Random forest was able to recognize the digits with 95% accuracy. Tools Used: R with CART and randomForest packages. Social Media Analytics: December 2013 Extracted data using the Face-book API and applied graph analytics techniques to systematically understand various clusters in the social network. Node-XL was used to layout and compute the various graph centrality metrics to identify the most influential people in the social network. Regression analysis on a real estate agency’s dataset Feb 2014 Objective: To analyze the relationship between various parameters like the price of a house, size of a house Tool used: R Customer Segmentation: April 2014 Objective: To segment the customers on various basis variables and descriptor variables data collected through survey. Method: Cluster Analysis with and without discriminant analysis. Tools Used: MEXL Product Positioning: May 2014 Objective: To Position the product on the basis of the perceptual and preference data collected. Method: Run the position analysis on perceptual and preference data. Tools Used: MEXL Crime Analytics June 2014 Objective: To analyze the crime data from the year 2012 to understand the trends in crime in Chicago City. Method: Used Hierarchical and K-means Clustering Techniques using Spot-fire and XL Miner to analyze the Chicago crime data. Final reporting and visualization was done using tableau Econometric Data Analysis for identifying locations to open new Bank Branches in India with Indicus Analytics August 2014 In this data Analysis we attempt to analyze the economic data like demographics, population, GDP, Per-capita Income etc. and arrive at a dashboard visualization to mark locations as potential opportunities to open bank new branches.
