 Sam: Well, I might be willing if I had any idea who you are.

going to stain! Sonny bought me this dress! I can't get it
off! I'm not going to be able to get it off!

5.  Sam: You can -- you can do something wrong, something
you regret, and still love someone. You can be -- you can
be a liar and a hustler -- you can be trash -- but it doesn't
mean that you don't feel.

 Sam: No, you wouldn't. You're just going to laugh.
 Jason: Have I ever laughed at you?
 Sam: I was in a church like this. Stained glass windows,
candles, a long, white dress and a bouquet of flowers. I
could picture myself walking down the aisle, looking like a
princess out of a fairy tale.

parenting than you ever will.

going to do everything I can to stop Nico. But if something

 Jason: It's up to you.
 Sam: I don't know. Yeah -- yes, yes. I'm dying to know.

 Dr. Meadows: Well, I am happy to be the one to tell you
congratulations, parents. You're having a baby girl.

14.  Jason: Congratulations, baby girl. You did a great job. You
didn't cry once.
 Sam: Oh.
 Jason: Aw.
 Sam: She knew there was no reason for tears, right, baby?
And who would've thought Sonny, Michael, Morgan -- they
were all at your christening, and they were so proud of
you. They love you, just like Jason and I love you.

 Sam: I just think she would be another Lila Morgan. And

 Jason: Yeah, I think my -- I know my grandmother would
love for the baby to have her name.

18.  Sam: Well, I know you probably want to get back to your
game. I just -- I wanted to introduce you to my friend
Jason. He's a really good friend of mine.
 Danny: Hi, Jason.
 Jason: Hey, Danny. You were -- you were here before when
I came.
 Danny: I ran out the door.
 Jason: No, it's -- it's ok. I'm sorry. I -- I didn't mean to
scare you.

19.  Sam: I want to concentrate on everything I have to look forward to
now. I mean, especially my little girl.
 Jason: I'm -- I’m glad you agreed to stay.
 Sam: Me, too. I mean, this is -- this is going to be good for
her, Jason. And I don't know. I mean, who knows? It just -- it just
might work out for all of us.

20.  Sam: I will do it. And I want to take off my shoes. I'm going to be
barefoot, pregnant, in the kitchen -- exactly the way you like your
women.
 Jason: On second thought, I'll cook.
 Sam: I was -- I was teasing. Come on.
 Jason: I -- I know.
 Sam: Ok. Well, then, a good way to show that you get a joke is to
smile or something, laugh. You know, I'm serious, Jason. Children
model their parents' behavior, and suppose she grows up and she
doesn't know how to smile. Do you really want to be responsible
for a humor-impaired child? No, I don't think so. You need
practice -- lots of practice.

21.  Sam: Sonny isn't going to be the one to help her find her
shoes, Jason, or read her the same book over and over
again or be there to grab her for a nightmare. That will be
you.
 Jason: Yeah, I mean, what does it matter as long as she
feels safe and loved, right?
 Sam: That's my point! You are going to be the one to love
her. Sonny's going to be more like an uncle than a dad.
Yeah, he's going to see her from across the hall, bring her
gifts from time to time, but he is not going to be there
every day.
 Jason: His name will be on the birth certificate.
 Sam: Yes -- it's paperwork. He will be the father of record.
You, Jason, you will be her dad.

22.  Sam: Whoa, whoa, no, no, no, hold on! What, are you
throwing me out now?
 Jason: I'm just saying that my life is not going to change.
It's dangerous, and I understand if you and your daughter
don't want to be around it.
 Sam: I listened in on your conversation with Sonny
because I knew he was mad at you and I didn't want
anything to happen. I wanted to make sure of that. But I
would never judge you, Jason, or tell you how to live. After
everything you've done for me, I'm going to accept you
exactly the way you are.

23.  Jason: Sam, I can take care of myself. And I can take care of you
and the baby if that's what you want.
 Sam: It is. I want to go back to your apartment and I want to
bore you with all my baby books and DVD’s and stuff. Look, I
know you've done, like, everything for me, and if you don't mind

 Jason: What?
 Sam: I'm starving, but I don't have any money. Would you buy
me something to eat, please? I know.
 Jason: You know, I'm going to take your bag to the car and I'm
going to let you order yourself something.
 Sam: Thank you.

24.  Jason: I didn't have a life until Sonny gave me a job. I wasn't
who I am now. You know, I was -- I was nothing except the
Quartermaines' terrible loss. And none of them except, you
know, my grandmother and Emily treated me like a person. I
sure didn't feel like a person. But Sonny gave me a chance.
 Sam: Jason, I get that. But it doesn't mean he can treat you
like his own personal punching bag. He should respect you.
 Jason: He does. Sonny supported me the way a father
supports his son. Yeah, you know what? He can be unfair
sometimes, but he is loyal to a fault, and he always protects
the people he loves. Listen, Sam, you know, Sonny may
struggle with his decisions, but eventually he will make the
right choice for your daughter.
 Sam: You know what's funny? You just described the perfect
father. And it's not Sonny. It's you.

 Sam: I left it on the kitchen sink.

 Jason: Always.
 Woman: My apologies, young lady. I jumped to the wrong

 Sam: It's hiccups.
 Jason: Hiccups?
 Sam: Yeah.
 Jason: Are you uncomfortable?
 Sam: No. No, not at all. I'm actually -- I'm kind of enjoying

28.  Sam: No, I mean, you're right about Carly. I see it every
time she looks at me. I mean, she's not just mad that I’m
carrying Sonny's baby, Jason. She's mad that I am living
here with you.
 Jason: It's more than that. Carly's mad because I like you.
 Sam: You like me?
 Jason: Sure
 Sam: Thanks, I like you too.

29.  Sam: That's probably why you work so much -- because
you probably don't mind getting shot if it, you know, buys
you a little peace and quiet.
 Jason: Yeah, well, that's what I always thought I wanted.
You know the last time I took off; I traveled all over the
place. I would go for days without talking to
anybody, and, Sam, it is easier.
 Jason: But in the end, easy wasn't what I wanted.
 Sam: Me, either. I mean, let's face it -- having a baby isn't
easy. And the idea of being a mother still scares me to
death, but I am, Jason -- I am looking forward to it more
than anything. I guess I just realized that easy doesn't
always get you everything. I mean, sometimes, the things
that are the most difficult end up being the best.

30.  Sam: Well, I was thinking that once the baby gets here
maybe you, me, and the baby could go visit him. And I
know Hawaii’s a long flight, but I was just -- you know,
Danny really wants to see her, and I think it would --
 Jason: Don't, you know, babies have to be a certain age
before they fly?
 Sam: I don't know, you know? I don't know. I'll put it on
my list of things to ask Dr. Meadows, but if she says yes,
what do you say?
 Jason: You know, I probably --
 Sam: Don't -- please don't say you have to work. Come on.
Say you'll come with us.
 Jason: Ok.
 Sam: Ok? Do you promise?
 Jason: Yeah, I promise.

 Sam: I've been wondering what it would be like to kiss
you. I mean, I'd be going along and I'd be thinking, you
know, in the back of my head, "What would it be like to
kiss Jason?" And now I know. I do. I know. It makes me
feel dizzy. Jason, the whole room is spinning. Oh. Ok, this
is nice.
 Jason: Sam, just -- just try to go to sleep.
 Sam: Mm-hmm.
December 2-3, 2004: First Kiss

35.  Sam: I'm not drunk.
 Jason: Yeah, I know that.
 Sam: What I mean is the last time I kissed you, I was
drunk. Or maybe we kissed -- I'm not sure -- and you just
stood there and you let me, but I’m a little hazy on the
details, except -- except for the part where it felt right.
Kissing you is something I’ve been wanting to do for a
really long time, and I finally did, but I’m not drunk. I kind
of wish I was.
December 8-9, 2004: Second Kiss

36.  Jason: It's not going to be a problem now, but every
relationship I’ve been in; it's been a problem, Sam. You
know what, I’d rather be shot than talk about any of this,
but I know how it's all going to happen. You're going to ask
me where I’ve been. I'm not going to answer. I'm going to
come home hurt; you're going to be scared. And someday,
no matter how hard I try to protect you, you are going to
see me working. And it's brutal. And from that day on, you
will be afraid -- just a little bit, you know, in the back of
your mind, Sam, and I don't want you to be afraid of me. I
don't -- that's just why we're better off being friends.
 Sam: I want to agree with you. I do Jason, I want to agree
with you. I want to say ok. I'd be lying. And I don't ever
want to lie to you. This is more than friendship. Or at least
to me it is.

37.  Jason: No. I invited you over here so I could ask you to move back in
with me. I miss you. I miss your voice, your stuff laying around, the
way you know what I'm thinking without me even saying a word.
 Sam: Anything to stop you from talking, right?
 Jason: It's a lot more than that. You seem to like it here. You seem to
be ok with my work, with things I can't discuss. And you never tried
to change me into someone else.
 Sam: It's a big step -- ahem -- moving in with you. I mean, I don't
know. I'm going to have to think about it for a little bit.
 Jason: Ok.
 Sam: I just --
 Jason: Just, you know, you can take all the --
 Sam: Yes.
 Jason: What?
 Sam: I thought about it, and I was -- I was going to ask you the
same thing before Bridget stopped me and gave me the baby. I miss
you, Jason, and I want to live with you. So my answer is yes.
