This document discusses prisoner's dilemma and how it relates to employee behavior and organizational leadership. It analyzes how fear-based leadership can lead to dysfunction, while love-based leadership following Jesus' example can create success. It recommends developing competence, courage, clarity, coaching skills, and strong character as a Christian leader, citing biblical verses and the teachings of Pastor Andy Stanley. The overall message is that seeking God and modeling love rather than fear can transform organizations by inspiring trust and high performance.

3. What is Prisoner’s Dilemma
Two people (A & B) have been arrested for committing a
crime, and are being held in separate cells
The authorities offer each a deal
If both confess, thereby betraying each other, each will get
two years in jail
If neither confesses, each will get one year
If one confesses and the other doesn't, the confessor will get
no jail time and the holdout will get three years.
4. Prisoner’s Dilemma Charted
The best options is to
cooperate or confess
There is a lack of trust
They go for the 2nd best and
that is to defect or not confess
5. Negative Leadership
If employees fear their manager, they
will never respect them.
If leaders can’t manage through
changes, employees let their fears take
control.
If leaders fear conflict, employees may
as well.
Fear is the path to the dark side. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering.” -
Yoda, Jedi Master
6. Employee Dilemma
Employees “work the system”
Fly under the radar
Dodge responsibility
They come out safe
Negative leadership creates a culture of mediocrity instead of success

9. Seeking Jesus Playbook for Leadership
Fear leads to dysfunction
Love is the character trait and action leaders should start
with, follow Christ, and all other things will flow
1 John 4 God is love
There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear.
For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears
has not been perfected in love.

11. Seeking Jesus Playbook for Leadership
Competence:
Leaders must channel their energies toward those
arenas of leadership in which they are most likely to
excel.
Courage:
The leader of an enterprise isn’t always the smartest
or most creative person on the team. He isn’t
necessarily the first to identify an opportunity. The
leader is the one who has the courage to initiate, to
set things in motion, to move ahead.

Clarity:
Uncertain times require clear directives from those in
leadership. Yet the temptation for young
leaders is to allow uncertainty to leave them
paralyzed. A next generation leader must learn to be
clear even when he is not certain.
Coach:
You may be good. You may even be better than
everyone else. But without a coach, you will never
be as good as you could be.

Character:
You can lead without character, but you won’t be a leader
worth following. Character provides next generation
leaders with the moral authority necessary to bring
together the people and resources needed to further an
enterprise
“Character involves doing what’s right because it’s the right
thing to do— regardless of the cost. And it’s those last few
words that divide the men and women of character from
those with good but negotiable intentions” -Andy Stanley

Luke 12:48b,“From everyone who has been given much, much will be
demanded. And from the one trusted with much, much more will be expected.”
