  2. 2. Leadership Task<br /><ul><li>Using the sticky labels, write individual qualities that you associate with LEADERSHIP. What makes a Great Leader?
  3. 3. Now assign the labels to people in the room who bear the qualities you consider important in a leader and stick them on them. </li></li></ul><li>They are NOT the LEADERS of tomorrow. <br />Why NOT? <br />
  4. 4. Why Not?<br /><ul><li>Because they ARE the LEADERS OF TODAY?
  6. 6. You don’t have to wait until you can vote; until you own your own home; have children or have a Masters degree. You are the Leaders of Today – Right NOW!

  8. 8. Those of us that are old often try to maintain the status quo.   13. 13. Seeing what needs to be done and doing it; doing the right thing.
  14. 14. Working with others to achieve what you want</li></li></ul><li>True Leadership is NOT:<br />Power or Authority<br />Command and Control<br />Giving Orders<br />Having power over someone else<br />Making people do what you want<br />
  15. 15. LEADERS:<br /><ul><li>Take INITIATIVES and RISKS. They are PROACTIVE not REACTIVE.
  16. 16. They see the Big(ger) Picture
  17. 17. Have INTEGRITY and EMPATHY
  18. 18. Trust others and Cooperate
  19. 19. Create change and manage change.
  20. 20. Envision a future, figure out how to get us there and help us arrive.
