Accomplished and driven supervisor with experience in coordinating operational activities within SSI UK,
Semi-finished products. I have a proven track record in creating and adapting company process, to improve
perform output and a zero harm environment. I am able to review, evaluate, formulate and execute strategic
plans in line with business goals. I'm composed under pressure, willing to make tough decisions to benefit the
business. I am a logical thinker who is extremely passionate. I'm willing to partake in any training to extract and
fine tune my qualities so I can achieve my full potential.
Key Achievements
o Through continuous improvement, 5S projects and process safety initiatives, achieved 3 years lost time
injury free – best in steelmaking.
o Steelmaking Safety team – Lead my team to 165 days lost time injury free, across all steelmaking over
300 employee’s.
o Through project development amended the Major Incident Plan, BA sets removed/relocated and scale
diagrams re-development in accordance with site location.
o Accident and near miss investigation lead to alter an operational process (Scrap cutting) following a
recent lost time injury. Until closure we had improved output and minimize Health and Safety concerns.
o Successfully coordinated teams of trades to develop construction operations, following scale diagrams
and specification sheets and delivering to strict deadlines.
o An accomplished Manual Handling trainer, theory & practical examinations.
Career Summary
Applebridge Building services February 2016 – Present (Contracts supervisor)
Key Responsibilities:-
o Managing numerous different construction projects, from strip out to full refits/refurbs.
o Control all Health & Safety across site. Site inductions and RAM’s produced to each new tradesman.
o Purchasing and ordering of materials to meet customer specifications.
o Using my construction trade (Carpentry), giving knowledge to help the project run smoothly to
meet strict timescales, with the least disruption to principle contractors.
Qualifications gained; SMSTS, Temporary Works Coordinator and Asbestos Awareness
Project ABM Joinery October 2015 – January 2016
Key Responsibilities:-
o Manufacturing Wardrobes/kitchen’s and all domestic materials, all task where in accordance with
customer specification sheets and illustrations.
o In control of all Health & Safety for Project ABM Joinery.
o Pricing work and liaise with customers on numerous projects. Compiling quotation sheets.
o Integrated the company in the transition to a new premises, during an extremely busy period with no loss
to production hours.
SSI UK November 2011 – October 2015, Concast finishing End (Company went into liquidation)
Key Responsibilities:-
o Supervising a team of 11 operators creating an efficient unit to meet business goals. I delivered
presentation/development plans and coaching, also back to plant interviews due to sickness.
o As part of my role I produced Accident and Near miss reports using photographic evidence/witness
statements and environmental conditions.
o Carried out quality control checks such as, internal steel grading using Mannesmann guide in
accordance with customer protocols/corner sample analysis.
o Steel slab controller coordinator, liaise with GBRF and Harsco to achieve output goals to put strict
vessel deadlines.
o PICC & Permit access in conjunction with crane stranding orders within the Finishing End.
o Attend daily production meetings reporting discussing weekly plans/Engineering faults and grading
analysis.
Safety Department
o Coordinate daily duties, Plant Inductions & Gas Awareness presentation.
o Close monitoring of C02 monitors, I installed a system to keep records of validation/faults and
accountability.
o Attend and present weekly Health & Safety performance meetings, also area PDCA.
o Daily walk rounds across full Steelmaking, discussing any issues operators would like to improve,
attend and present follow up meeting to discuss improvement plans. Produce projects within the Team
of 3 to improve areas of the plant, such as; - BA escape Sets removed and relocated (MIP was amended
in accordance). Scrap cutting process altered following an Accident investigation. First Aid boxes
sources/distributed and monitored.
o Accident & Near miss investigation attended. User of Lotus note operating system. (Accident database)

Carillion Construction August 2005 – August 2008
o Shuttering across numerous sites, tasks were complete with engineer’s guidelines.
o All aspects of 1st & 2nd fix joinery was undertaking, maintaining a high attention to detail at all times.
o Health & Safety was paramount when operating across sites in the North east of England.
o Experience using CnC saws/edge banders with Laminate products.
