Alan Bullard was born and raised in a small town in eastern Oklahoma, attending a small school until the 8th grade when he transferred to a larger school with a graduating class of 32 people. After high school, he joined the Navy as a communications specialist and submarine service, where he received his bachelor's degree in electronics. He spent 24 years in the Navy, much of it as an instructor, before joining defense contractors as a technician and trainer. Currently, he works as the Unit Training Officer for the US Coast Guard, training personnel in intelligence operations. His goals include a new job as a trainer with FEMA and learning as much as possible about authoring tools in his graduate certificate program.
