International Women's Day 2015 presentation argued that women-led ventures are significantly underfunded compared to male counterparts, receiving only 6% of venture capital and 4% of SBA loans. If women were financed similarly to men, an estimated 6 million new jobs could be created in the next 5 years. However, rather than trying to "fix" women, the presentation advocated developing new models, mindsets and solutions that leverage crowdfunding, social media, and the sharing economy to better fund and support women entrepreneurs.
