ITEN winning the Gateway to Innovation
Conference's Community Outreach Award
The annual Gateway to Innovation Conference was held at the Hyatt Regency
St. Louis at the Arch on April 23th. Building upon the growing success of past
conferences, the 2014 G2I event was a huge success. The conference was
able to garner over 1000 attendees and featured such keynotes speakers as
the world's one of most influential management thinkers and the Global
Solutions Award winner Don Tapscott and a recognized artist and speaker Erik
Wahl.
For ITEN and the startup tech
community, there were some significant
highlights, as g2i continues to integrate
more and more of the tech
entrepreneurial culture into the event.
Among the presenters are Chuck
Vallurupalli, EIR of ITEN and Dheeraj
Patri from FoodEssentials. ITEN was
thrilled to participate in the 2014
Gateway to Innovation conference. The
Committee highlighted ITEN's work to

A compelling St. Louis tech startup has successfully completed the the Mock
Angel program to become our 30th graduate, and fifth so far in 2014.
SmartCare provides a unified sensordriven technology platform to manage
senior communities, enabling them to improve overall quality of life for their
residents, give greater peace of mind for relatives, and provide superior returns
for community owners. Scott Mosher, cofounder of SmartCare, along the

same thing that got
Chris Christy in trouble
delaying traffic into
Manhattan is being
used by others to build
a multimillion business.
I am talking about network traffic for stock
traders. Perhaps you have seen the stories
about them based on Michael Lewis' latest book
Flash Boys.
In the celebrated George Washington
"bridgegate" fracas, it was delays introduced by
closing various onramps to the bridge. In the
case of the stock market, it was delays of 350
microseconds that made highfrequency trades
