iTEC - Designing the Future Classroom
• Innovative Technologies for an Engaging Classroom
• European Project aiming to the introduction of new technologies in the teaching practice
• Operated with the STEM (Science, Technologies, Engineering, Mathematics) subjects
• Coordinated by the European Schoolnet (EUN)
• Involved 27 partners in 18 countries
• Started in September 2010 and ended in August 2014 taking 5 levels

Learning history: The chemistry of Western Portugal traditional products
The students were challenged to produce a movie about a chemical process using one of the
Portuguese West Coast (the region where the Rafael Bordalo Pinheiro High School is based)
traditional products:
Learning activities: select a product; write a story; make a storyboard; record a movie; edit the
movie
Subjects and technologies involved
The movies...
1 - The students presented the movie to the school community (other colleagues, teachers and some parents) and received
feedback from them.

The chemistry of Western Portugal traditional products

  • 1. The chemistry of Western Portugal traditional products iTEC - Designing the Future Classroom • Innovative Technologies for an Engaging Classroom • European Project aiming to the introduction of new technologies in the teaching practice • Operated with the STEM (Science, Technologies, Engineering, Mathematics) subjects • Coordinated by the European Schoolnet (EUN) • Involved 27 partners in 18 countries • Started in September 2010 and ended in August 2014 taking 5 levels Scenery: Narrating an academic topic through the media Learning history: The chemistry of Western Portugal traditional products The students were challenged to produce a movie about a chemical process using one of the Portuguese West Coast (the region where the Rafael Bordalo Pinheiro High School is based) traditional products:
