Section 66 of the Information Technology Act, 2000 deals with computer-related offenses and punishments. It states that tampering with or destroying computer source documents, hacking computer systems without authorization, obtaining computer resources fraudulently, publishing obscene or abusive material online, cyberstalking, identity theft, and impersonating others online with fraudulent intent are punishable by law under this section. A person found guilty of these computer-related offenses can be imprisoned and/or fined.
