Shopping with no timeWhen I’m back from work I don’t have time to do shopping. Is always a hassle. I need to plan in advance in order to overcome this. I sometimes use online shopping but then I need to plan it in advance. Time issues and observations
Planning for friendsI take more care for planning and cooking when I have people coming. It requires more time but I like it.Time issues and observations
Tuperware planningIn order to save time I cook big quantities during the weekend or in the evening and then save it in smaller portions for the week . Dinner leftovers are welcome and often used for next day at work (lunch), sometimes also for dinner again.Time issues and observations
Quick and healthy cookingI usually lack time but I still want to eat food I cook myself, it feels healthier this way. Using Thermomix I manage to cook more healthy and faster.Timeissues and observations

When kids are hungry…If kids are hungry you need to put food on the table ASAP. The more time you spend the more stressful it gets. It is critical to have some ‘emergency’ recipes and ingredients for those moments. We sometimes have frozen food we have cooked before that can be warmed up for those cases.Timeissues and observations
My garden, my foodI normally eat what is available in my vegetable garden. In summer I eat a lot of tomatoes because is just what the garden is giving. Inspiration issues and observations
Rotting food triggers inspirationWhen vegetables or other types of food are rotting I am forced to use them. I really like when I have few things in the fridge and I’m able to create something nice from it. It sparks my creativity. Inspiration issues and observations
Tuning pre-cooked foodI sometimes have precooked meals that I ‘upgrade’ with fresh ingredients to make my own dishes. Sometimes I get inspired by the supermarket  when I see all the products together  I start imaging how to combine them. Inspiration issues and observations
Engage kidsIn order for my kids to eat I need to use creative tricks like making really small pieces for vegetables or creating stories while eating. Funny ways of serving food help for it too. Inspiration issues and observations
A-B-C-D cookingCooking with thermomix book is like a game. You have to follow the steps, measurements and numbers and you always get the same results. It makes cooking pretty easy. Once you become more experienced you dare to experiment more. Navigationissues and observations
Multitasking while cookingI like to be able to do several things at the same time while cooking. Sometimes I clean the tools while cooking or have to give food to the child. Everything that allows me to have more freedom while cooking is welcome.Navigationissues and observations

Recognizable portionsPeople are more aware about coffee cups or yoghurt cups than milliliters or grams. Therefore using common known sizes becomes easierNavigationissues and observations
Internet shopping more rationalWhen I shop with internet the shopping basket is less compulsive. When I go to the supermarket it becomes much more improvised. I usually use internet to buy the basic basket. It is very practical.Navigationissues and observations
Not consistent resultMostly I only have little time to do the cooking and then I'm often so much under pressure that the result is not what I intended it to be. Confidenceissues and observations
Cooking my well tried recipesI have a repertoire of 15-20 dishes in order to save time that I cook normally. I often don’t have time to plan or think too much.Confidenceissues and observations
Learning from my mumMost of the cooking recipes that I learned I got them from my mum. She even convinced me to buy the thermomix…Cultural background and childhood recipes play a big role in own cooking, although they can be slightly adaptedConfidenceissues and observations
Improvising with experienceThe more I try some of the recipes the more I can improvise. My mum is now able to cook without the looking at the book and she has her own recipes. I am still following some recipes but I'm starting to cook my own things (thermomix recipe book)Confidenceissues and observations
Mono use products get forgottenMost of the products that are never used have a single function and are not very flexible. They also generate big quantities and can’t be used in smaller portions.Other issues and observations
Travelling with kidsWhen travelling specially with kids I need to plan what to cook for them. Sometimes we bring the ‘baby cook’ with us. It is very easy to cook vegetable purées with it. Other issues and observations
Lack of spaceI always run out of space in my kitchen. Then I have to do in between washing up in order to have more space. Appliances also always take space.Other issues and observations
