The Right Chord
With the booklet Touching the Right Chord (written for children between 6-10 years old but most adults like it a lot as well), we want to show the special bond between a little girl and her Spanish grandparents. We would like to contribute to a positive perception of people with dementia.
The books shows that a child can keep a good relationship with a family member who is demented. Next to that it shows that old people, also the ones who are not originally Dutch, play an active role in our society.
This book has been made possible by the support of LIZE, policy adviser of the central government on Southern European communities. We hope this book will help to create more knowledge about dementia, more understanding for the people who have the disease, and more support for the partners, children, friends and relatives who take care of them.
The net result of this book goes to the work of Alzheimer Nederland, a national organization which provides information for people with Alzheimer and their family and friends. The booklet is written by Yvonne Witter (Aedes-Actiz Knowlegde Center of Housing and Care) and illustrated by Yon Prüst.
The English translation is only digital available. Hard copies are written in Dutch.

Silvia impression about our third Meeting in Italy
The third meeting of the "Voices from the Land" project took place in Italy from May 20-26. The coordinator traveled there with students and experienced some flight issues but an enjoyable welcome at the hotel. They spent a day at a school where teachers and families made them feel like part of the community through music, food, and activities. Later in the week they toured Rome, including Ostia and a nighttime limousine tour, and the coordinator was happy to see students bonding with Italian peers. They thanked their hosts for the incredible experience.
Portuguese delegation in slovenia
Students from Portugal participated in a student exchange program in Slovenia. Gonçalo enjoyed his homestay experience but did not like the school food. Tiago was warmly welcomed by his host family and enjoyed activities at the clean and organized school, especially sports and the water park. Beatriz was initially nervous but was made to feel at home by her host family. She enjoyed cultural experiences in Ljubljana and Beltinci and appreciated learning about other cultures through school programs. The exchange was a unique and unforgettable experience for all.
Comenius brenda
Brenda is an 18-year-old who loves sports, music, and spending time with friends. She participated in a Comenius exchange program in Italy where she was paired with an Italian student named Emily. During the week-long exchange, Brenda visited local bakeries, pasta factories, and wineries with Emily and her other exchange partners. She enjoyed learning about Italian culture and making new friends from different countries through this experience.

During their trip, they visited several schools where they made friends with students from other countries, toured an aquarium full of fish, went sightseeing and shopping in Genoa, and had pizza before returning to Ireland on Sunday.

The stuffed grape leaves were described as delicious when served with yogurt and lemon slices.

advanced technologies such as GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and Remote sensing to
analyze the transformations that have taken place over the course of a decade.
The complex relationship between human activities and the environment has been the focus
of extensive research and worry. As the global community grapples with swift urbanization,
population expansion, and economic progress, the effects on natural ecosystems are becoming
more evident. A crucial element of this impact is the alteration of vegetation cover, which plays a
significant role in maintaining the ecological equilibrium of our planet.Land serves as the foundation for all human activities and provides the necessary materials for
these activities. As the most crucial natural resource, its utilization by humans results in different
'Land uses,' which are determined by both human activities and the physical characteristics of the
land.
The utilization of land is impacted by human needs and environmental factors. In countries
like India, rapid population growth and the emphasis on extensive resource exploitation can lead
to significant land degradation, adversely affecting the region's land cover.
Therefore, human intervention has significantly influenced land use patterns over many
centuries, evolving its structure over time and space. In the present era, these changes have
accelerated due to factors such as agriculture and urbanization. Information regarding land use and
cover is essential for various planning and management tasks related to the Earth's surface,
providing crucial environmental data for scientific, resource management, policy purposes, and
diverse human activities.
Accurate understanding of land use and cover is imperative for the development planning
of any area. Consequently, a wide range of professionals, including earth system scientists, land
and water managers, and urban planners, are interested in obtaining data on land use and cover
