2. ISO 31000 CERTIFICATION – COURSE+EXAM
SUMMARY
This course enables participants to become certified risk management professionals (Foundations level). The
training and exam are based on the ISO 31000 risk management standard which can be used by organizations of
any size, any industry, and any sector.
In this intensive three-day course, participants develop competence in the foundations of the ISO 31000 risk
management standard. Based on in-depth teaching, practical exercises and quiz questions that test their aptitude,
participants acquire the necessary knowledge and skills to pass the stringent exam. They do so by becoming
familiar with the vocabulary, principles, framework and the risk management process proposed in the ISO 31000
standard.
During the course, we will present the ISO 31000 Risk Management Principles and Guidelines and its two
companions, the ANSI/ASSE/ ISO Guide 73:2009, and the ANSI/ASSE/ISO 31010:2009 Risk Assessment
Techniques.

EXAM AND CERTIFICATION
The “Certified ISO 31000 Foundation” exam meets the requirements of ISO/IEC 17024 standard
designed to harmonize the certification process of personnel worldwide.
The exam covers the five following competence domains:

· Principles of risk management
· The risk management framework
· The risk management process
Duration: 2 hours for 80 multiple-choice questions, with passing mark of 60 out of 80

Dr. Adel Bataweel is a consultant and chairman of risk management
department at King Fahad Medical City. He acquired his PhD from the
UK and worked in healthcare field since 1991. He moved to KFMC in
2005 where he led and introduced many technologies to help and improve
the quality of life of disabled people. Risk and safety had always been the
main concern when providing any technology in the healthcare in general
and specifically to disabled people. Dr. Bataweel has acquired knowledge
of risk management through his experience in the rehabilitation field,
Master of Business Administration (MBA) the international certificate for
risk management from the institute of Risk Management (IRM, UK),
certification in Enterprise risk management, certified in Health and Safety
professional, certified practitioner in the Management of Risk (MoR®)
and certified ISO31000 trainer by the G31000.

1. Registration fees. All participants must pay the registration fee prior to arrival at the course venue. 2. Cancellation Policy.
Registration cancellations must be notified via email to Symbol Consultancy at Email: cancellations@sc-saudi.com . Substitutions are
welcome any time. Cancellations received 60 working days prior the first day of the course will receive a refund of registration fees
less an administration charge of 10% of the Course fee. Cancellations received between 60 and 30 working days prior the first day of
the course will receive a refund of 50% of the course fee. Cancellations made after, as well as 'no shows', are liable for the full course
