Steve Irwin was a famous Australian wildlife expert and television personality known as "The Crocodile Hunter". He grew up around wildlife at his family's zoo in Australia. As an adult, he took over running the zoo, now called the Australia Zoo, and created the hugely popular Crocodile Hunter TV show with his wife Terri. Irwin was passionate about wildlife conservation and educated viewers worldwide about animals. He tragically passed away in 2006 from a stingray barb to the heart while filming a documentary.
