Steve Irwin was born in 1962 in Melbourne, Australia. He had a degree in zoology and spent much time at the wildlife park owned by his parents, where he observed and developed a love of crocodiles from a young age. Irwin gained fame from his television show "The Crocodile Hunter" and starred in a movie with his wife Terri. He tragically died in 2006 after being stung by a stingray which caused cardiac arrest.
