File Replication : High availability is a desirable feature of a good distributed file system and file replication is the primary mechanism for improving file availability. Replication is a key strategy for improving reliability, fault tolerance and availability. Therefore duplicating files on multiple machines improves availability and performance.
Replicated file : A replicated file is a file that has multiple copies, with each copy located on a separate file server. Each copy of the set of copies that comprises a replicated file is referred to as replica of the replicated file.
Replication is often confused with caching, probably because they both deal with multiple copies of data. The two concepts has the following basic differences:
A replica is associated with server, whereas a cached copy is associated with a client.
The existence of cached copy is primarily dependent on the locality in file access patterns, whereas the existence of a replica normally depends on availability and performance requirements.
Satynarayanana [1992] distinguishes a replicated copy from a cached copy by calling the first-class replicas and second-class replicas respectively

We theoretically study the influence of resource allocation on the average querying delay and derive an optimal file replication rule (OFRR) that allocates resources to each file based on its popularity and size. We then propose a file replication protocol based on the rule, which approximates the minimum global querying delay in a fully distributed manner.

Performance Review of Zero Copy Techniques
E-government and corporate servers will require higher performance and security as usage increases. Zero copy refers to a collection of techniques which reduce the number of copies of blocks of data in order to make data transfer more efficient. By avoiding redundant data copies, the consumption of memory and CPU resources are reduced, thereby improving performance of the server. To eliminate costly data copies between user space and kernel space or between two buffers in the kernel space, various schemes are used, such as memory remapping, shared buffers, and hardware support. However, the advantages are sometimes overestimated and new security issues arise. Comparison of Compression Algorithms in text data for Data Mining
Text data compression is a process of reducing text size by encrypting it. In our daily lives, we sometimes come to the point where the physical limitations of a text or data sent to work with it need to be addressed more quickly. Ways to create text compression should be adaptive and challenging. Compressing text data without losing the original context is important because it significantly reduces storage and communication costs. In this study, the focus is on different techniques of encoding text files and comparing them in data processing. Some efficient memory encryption programs are analyzed and executed in this work. These include: Shannon Fano coding, Hoffman coding, Hoffman comparative coding, LZW coding and Run-length coding. These analyzes show how these coding techniques work, how much compression for these coding techniques. Writing, the amount of memory required for each technique, a comparison between these techniques is possible to find out which technique is better in which conditions. Experiments have shown that Hoffman's comparative coding shows a higher compression ratio. In addition, the improved RLE encoding suggests a higher performance than the typical example in compressing data in text.

- 18. conclusion This paper proposes an IRM that achieves high efficiency at a significantly lower cost. Instead of passively accepting replicas and updates, nodes autonomously determine the need for file replication and validation based on file query rate and update rate. IRM reduces redundant file replicas, consistency maintenance overhead, and unnecessary file updates.
