Judy Neinstein was born December 8th, 1944 but that hasn’t prevented her
from joining younger generations online. She has multiple social media
accounts, which are all kept active, and even has her own website to keep an
updated online diary of her life. During a warm summer day, spent by the
poolside with her grandchildren, she entered into a conversation about Twitter.
Enthralled by the idea and realizing it as a great way to keep in contact with
her family members she soon sent out her first tweet. This was just the
beginning of her love for the internet and social platforms.
Soon after creating her Twitter account she ventured into other social media
outlets and currently manages eleven other platforms. After just recently
joining Facebook she said “I think that will be the last one I join for a while.”
However, that didn't prevent her from launching judyneinstein.com where she
publishes daily content about her present life and occasionally includes a
"Throwback Thursday" describing events from her past. Judy accepts new
followers, friends, and pinners often. She is both overwhelmed by the number

of her fellow retirees there are online and amazed at how easy all the social
media platforms are to use. Currently, Judy's favorite site to use and visit is
Tumblr because of the pictures and humor.
Of late, Judy Neinstein has begun adding videos to her blog and subsequently
has her own YouTube and Vimeo channels. Her most current videos have
been shared across her social media sites for anyone looking to see her work.
The first video called "Judy Neinstein's Beach/Pool Party" revisits the day she
was introduced to social media by her grandchildren. Viewers are able to see
Judy help her family members cool down by bringing them some smoothies to
the pool. Mrs. Neinstein does more than just spend her days inside on the
computer! Granted Judy Neinstein may be the outlier when it comes to social
media users over the age of forty five but nonetheless people not from the X,
Y, and Z generations are beginning to adopt to social media.
In a recent research study from Google and Ispos they found that fifty nine
percent of people categorized as seniors use social networking sites daily.
Additionally, active memberships on social media for both the baby boomers
and senior generation categories are almost on par with the general public.
Judy Neinstein had her grandchildren to lean on when she needed some early
advice on Twitter, Blogger, Facebook, and Pinterest but nowadays she is
sending a few tips and tricks there way.
