A Internet das coisas está se tornando uma das aplicações chave para 5G e arquiteturas de Internet do Futuro. Uma vez que muitos acreditam que a maioria dos dispositivos da Internet se tornará sensores e atuadores equipados sobre "coisas" comuns, tais como carros, postes de iluminação, estacionamentos, praças, etc., faz muito sentido pensar na Internet das coisas como um dos requisitos mais importantes para 5G e Internet futuro.
