2. INTRODUCTION
 A veteran of the oil and gas sector, Edesiri Onatejiroghene Ibru works with
Midwestern Oil and Gas Company Limited as a corporate finance analyst. In
addition to her day-to-day work, Edesiri Onatejiroghene Ibru is a member of the
Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH).
IOSH has unveiled three new special courses of study that include fire safety
topics, as well as information pertaining to environmental management. The
three new courses are Environment for Business, Fire Safety for Managers, and
Fire Safety Awareness. In this effort, IOSH has brought in subject experts from
across the world to cultivate a curriculum designed to meet the needs of its
members and partners.
The Fire Safety Awareness course lasts half a day and covers important topics
such as how to handle evacuations, delegating roles during an emergency, and
how to locate hazards in the workplace. Fire Safety for Managers is a full-day
class that equips senior personnel with fire safety leadership information. Lastly,
the Environment for Business course lays out new strategies and emerging
thoughts concerning sustainability and its potential positive impact on business.
