The front-end framework for building experiences for Office and Office 365
Office UI Fabric is a responsive, mobile-first, front-end framework that you can use to apply the Office Design Language to your web experiences. Whether you’re creating a new app or add-in or updating an existing one, Fabric makes it easy to get up and running.
Built by Microsoft designers and design developers for Microsoft (and you).
Just like other popular frameworks, but built from the ground up for Office 365 without excessive overriding.
All about styling instead of function, so you can focus function and not look and feel.
Integrates with plain JavaScript and frameworks such as Angular, & React.

No, it’s not just a halfway-decent Star Wars movie—it’s a real use case in Office 365. Learn how to easily “clone” SharePoint sites and create flexible, reusable site templates in Office 365, using tools provided by Microsoft’s official Patterns and Practices community.
This deck covers simple template creation and application with PowerShell, plus more advanced scenarios like provider-hosted site collection provisioning using the Add-In Model.
In "Modern development", the presence of client-side code is increasingly present.
It is not least SharePoint, which thanks to the Online version introduced a new development framework based on client-side technologies called "SharePoint Framework " (SPFX).
In This session we will see a brief introduction about why this Framework was created, the principle of operation, the development tools, the programming languages, and the client-side frameworks that you can use to create Customizations such as Web parts and expensions.

MDEV40: Transform everyday business processes with Microsoft 365 platform toolsEli Robillard
Presented by Eli Robillard at Microsoft Ignite The Tour, Toronto, January 2020
Even the smallest gaps between people and systems in your organization can cost time and money. The Microsoft 365 platform has powerful solutions for professional and citizen developers that can close those gaps. We begin this session by showing you some low- and no-code business process automation scenarios using Microsoft PowerApps, Microsoft Flow and Excel. From there, we show you how adaptive cards and actionable messages can increase the velocity, efficiency, and productivity of your business. Finally, we demonstrate how to remain engaged with other software tools without switching context using Office add-ins.

In questa sessione mostrerò come muovere i primi passi per creare una SharePoint Framework solution e le relative best practices.
MDEV30: Building modern enterprise-grade collaboration solutions with Microso...Eli Robillard
Presented by Eli Robillard at Microsoft Ignite The Tour: Toronto
SharePoint is the bedrock of enterprise intranets, while Microsoft Teams is the new collaboration tool on the block. In this session we look at each product individually, then show you how they can work together. We start with an overview of the SharePoint Framework and modern, cross-platform intranet development. We pivot to an overview of Microsoft Teams extensibility and demonstrate how to increase the speed relevance of collaboration in your organization. Finally, we put the two together – with a little help from Microsoft Graph - and show you how a single application can run in both applications.

What Makes SharePoint UX Good? What is UX?
What defines good UX?
Evaluation Criteria for SharePoint UX
Key Tips from the Field
The Future of SharePoint & Office 365 UXUX is the short for User Experience
UX is the experience that the user has while interacting with your X
It’s more about how the user feels when they use your X
Many different parts compose the UX, no “one things” makes it
UX is NOT the interface or design of your X
UI is short for User Interface
It’s what you see in the browser
Help messages, buttons, modals, characters, style, menus, navigation, pages
UI is an incredibly important part of UX

GDG Cloud Southlake #33: Boule & Rebala: Effective AppSec in SDLC using Deplo...James Anderson
Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).
Speakers:
Bob Boule
Robert Boule is a technology enthusiast with PASSION for technology and making things work along with a knack for helping others understand how things work. He comes with around 20 years of solution engineering experience in application security, software continuous delivery, and SaaS platforms. He is known for his dynamic presentations in CI/CD and application security integrated in software delivery lifecycle.
Gopinath Rebala
Gopinath Rebala is the CTO of OpsMx, where he has overall responsibility for the machine learning and data processing architectures for Secure Software Delivery. Gopi also has a strong connection with our customers, leading design and architecture for strategic implementations. Gopi is a frequent speaker and well-known leader in continuous delivery and integrating security into software delivery.

Connector Corner: Automate dynamic content and events by pushing a buttonDianaGray10
Here is something new! In our next Connector Corner webinar, we will demonstrate how you can use a single workflow to:
Create a campaign using Mailchimp with merge tags/fields
Send an interactive Slack channel message (using buttons)
Have the message received by managers and peers along with a test email for review
But there’s more:
In a second workflow supporting the same use case, you’ll see:
Your campaign sent to target colleagues for approval
If the “Approve” button is clicked, a Jira/Zendesk ticket is created for the marketing design team
But—if the “Reject” button is pushed, colleagues will be alerted via Slack message
Join us to learn more about this new, human-in-the-loop capability, brought to you by Integration Service connectors.
