Role Based security ensures staff only have access to elements of the solution relevant to their role.
Immediately after logging into the solution with my unique password and username, all members of staff are presented with the Care Dashboard, this is configured to their individual role and responsibilities within the organisation. As a Carer or Senior all the information needed to ensure I am evidencing fully and following best practice is available directly through this screen. Our highly efficient ‘3 click interface’ ensures that I am never more than 3 clicks away from the information I need to evidence care provision fully, through custom assessments, charts or progress notes. I am also prompted through helpful notes to ensure I am following best practice and am being person centred in carrying out care actions and evidencing.
Interactive alerts add an additional safeguard for residents, as the solution will actively alert me if residents vitals are deviating from the key baseline ranges set. I am also kept abreast of key events and information through the Messaging Tool.
Key Care actions are highlighted to the relevant members of staff, based on care needs derived from the assessment process and communicated through the dashboard to the relevant carer, based on role, key worker status or location. This carer is then aware of care actions that need to take place to support residents and can select the action that they need to carry out. All actions are subject to an escalation process ensuring that if an action is missed it is highlighted as overdue. Actions are either automatically generated based on review dates for assessments or are manually input based on the needs derived from the care plan, this ensures that a more holistic approach is taken to a residents care observing more person centric needs rather than just clinical needs.
This three click process of alerting staff to a care action, highlighting the action and giving them all the information before linking them to the relevant area of the solution to complete the action ensures that best practice is followed and all care provision is accurately evidenced. Audits can be performed on actions being completed and a separate view within the residents profile allows for a holistic view of all the residents actions.
Adding observations to charts is very simple, staff are prompted to enter the key resident information. Charts also include areas for additional information, allowing staff to capture holistic person centric information at the point of evidencing.
