15. Integration With OpenELIS
Bahmni can easily be integrated with OpenELIS. The following functionality is provided by this
integration:
● Lab tests and panels can be ordered for patients from Bahmni
● These lab orders sync to ELIS
● The lab manager/technician access the interface of ELIS to see these orders
● They can enter the results for these lab tests and also verify the results
● These results are then synced back to Bahmni and can be seen on the patients Dashboard
18. Reports Module
● Reporting is an essential feature of an
EMR
● Bahmni supports a standard set of reports
● Some of these reports are Patient level
and some are aggregate level.
● The Implementers can define their own
reports and these customized reports can
be included in the Reports module
● The reports can be in CSV, XLS, HTML
and PDF format
● The implementer also has the facility to
get patient level data exported into an
excel file with Macros defined for
aggregating values
20. Integration With OpenERP
For hospital management aspects like billing inventory and stock management etc., Bahmni can be
integrated with OpenERP.
● If the hospital has a pharmacy, it can be maintained using OpenERP
● When drugs or medical orders/procedures are ordered for a patient the sales quotation for them
can be synced to OpenERP
● The billing clerk at the pharmacy can use this quotation to generate a sales invoice
● When items are sold, the stock gets affected dynamically
● Orders can be synced to multiple counters
23. Inpatient Care in Bahmni
A Medical Provider or admin can perform the
following tasks
● Set up different wards with desired bed

● Admit patient to a ward and assign a bed
● Transfer or discharge an already admitted
patient
● While admitted, consultation and
prescriptions work normally for the patient
● At any time the hospital admins and

24. Integration With PACS Servers
● Ability to integrate directly with Digital
imaging machines
● The orders given from Bahmni for
radiology and other medical imagining
requirements can be directly synced to a
central server
● User can upload the result images from
the imaging machines to the same server
● From this server these images are synced
back to Bahmni
● Images can be seen on Bahmni

management tool for data entry and
analysis

○ Bahmni used as the data entry tool for the

○ Concept of Treatment management
introduced

specific displays like Drug-o-Gram
○ Ability to track the progress of patient
across different visit dates
○ Reports specific to treatment enrolment
