AngularJS is a structural framework for dynamic web applications. It lets you use HTML as your template language and lets you extend HTML's syntax to express your application components clearly and succinctly.
Its data binding and dependency injection eliminate much of the code you currently have to write. And it all happens within the browser, making it an ideal partner with any server technology.
AngularJS is a JavaScript framework made by Google for building complex client-side applications.
Angular.js is a MVW (Model-View-Whatever) open-source JavaScript web framework that facilitates the creation of single-page applications (SPA) and data-driven apps.
Angular projects have a somewhat different structure than other JavaScript MVC frameworks, but it can be highly modular and easy to maintain once you understand the structure.

The Angular framework allows developers to create lightweight single page web applications with ease. By leveraging the Angular framework and the SharePoint 2013 REST API, we can create lightweight applications within SharePoint as alternatives to InfoPath forms and OOTB SharePoint web parts. This presentation will cover the basics of single page applications with Angular as well as targeting the SharePoint platform with SPA applications.

Epistemic Interaction - tuning interfaces to provide information for AI supportAlan Dix
Paper presented at SYNERGY workshop at AVI 2024, Genoa, Italy. 3rd June 2024
https://alandix.com/academic/papers/synergy2024-epistemic/
As machine learning integrates deeper into human-computer interactions, the concept of epistemic interaction emerges, aiming to refine these interactions to enhance system adaptability. This approach encourages minor, intentional adjustments in user behaviour to enrich the data available for system learning. This paper introduces epistemic interaction within the context of human-system communication, illustrating how deliberate interaction design can improve system understanding and adaptation. Through concrete examples, we demonstrate the potential of epistemic interaction to significantly advance human-computer interaction by leveraging intuitive human communication strategies to inform system design and functionality, offering a novel pathway for enriching user-system engagements.
Neuro-symbolic is not enough, we need neuro-*semantic*Frank van Harmelen
Neuro-symbolic (NeSy) AI is on the rise. However, simply machine learning on just any symbolic structure is not sufficient to really harvest the gains of NeSy. These will only be gained when the symbolic structures have an actual semantics. I give an operational definition of semantics as “predictable inference”.
All of this illustrated with link prediction over knowledge graphs, but the argument is general.

Here is something new! In our next Connector Corner webinar, we will demonstrate how you can use a single workflow to:
Create a campaign using Mailchimp with merge tags/fields
Send an interactive Slack channel message (using buttons)
Have the message received by managers and peers along with a test email for review
But there’s more:
In a second workflow supporting the same use case, you’ll see:
Your campaign sent to target colleagues for approval
If the “Approve” button is clicked, a Jira/Zendesk ticket is created for the marketing design team
But—if the “Reject” button is pushed, colleagues will be alerted via Slack message
Join us to learn more about this new, human-in-the-loop capability, brought to you by Integration Service connectors.

2. Agenda
● Need of framework in SPA
● What is angularJS
● Features of angular
● Angular concepts
● How an angular app starts
● Two way data binding
● Directives
● Controllers
● View - Controller interaction
● Modules
● Services
● Routing
3. Why a framework
Things to consider for developing SPA
DOM manipulation
- how to manipulate view effectively
History
- What happens when pressing back button
Routing
- Readable urls
Data binding
- How to bind data from model to view
View Loading
- how to load view in html
Hence use Frameworks
4. SPA framework in Javascript
Implements client side mvc pattern
No direct manipulation of DOM, less code, less complexity
Supported by major browsers
Large and fast growing open source community
Help developers write more meaningful html
9. Directives
Directives are markers on a DOM element (such as an attribute, element
name, comment or CSS class)
Directives tell AngularJS's HTML compiler to attach a specified behavior to
that DOM element or even transform the DOM element and its children.
<body ng-app=”myapp”>
<ng-view></ng-view>
</body>
10. Controllers
Provides logic to your app
ng-controller directive specifies controller in html
Don't modify dom from controller. so how we communicate
with view?
var myApp = angular.module('myApp',[]);
myApp.controller('GreetingController', ['$scope',
function($scope) {
$scope.greeting = 'Hola!';
}]);
11. View - Controller interaction
$scope is an object that can be used to communicate
between view and controller
https://gist.github.com/shyjal/aa9a0e4b15029f7ea624
12. Modules
Re usable container for different features of an app or app itself
- controllers, services, filters, directives, etc.
Modules can be loaded in any order
No need of use require js like AMD’s as angular have
dependency injection mechanism
var myApp = angular.module('myApp',[ngRoute]);
